I recently got a lucky string of drops on my warrior, and now think I may try to semi-twink him for the 39 bracket as a flag carrier. Here is the (good) gear I have;

Herod's Shoulder

Gauntlets of Divinity

Aquamarine Signet of Strength (+11)

Truesilver Commander's Ring

Triune Amulet

Aegis of the Scarlet Commander +18 Stamina

I also have a Boneslasher +5 damage and a Pronged Reaver

I plan on getting Sword of Serenity from In the Name of the Light

I currently have a Green Iron Hauberk for which I have not seen an upgrade. Unfortunately, I'm still using Chausses of Westfall, as I haven't seen a significant upgrade.

My question to you, what items should I look for? Quest for? Pay to have Crafted? I am an engineer, and my mage is a miner, so I have both bombs and excess materials to have something crafted. I am willing to spend in the 10-20G per Rare piece, with the same for enchantments on them.

I can also pay to run higher instances, if there are drops worth getting.

no ww axe but you have a fast 2 hand sword that hits for alot less....

there are plenty of up grades for your legs use the find upgrade on wowarmory or use search on allah. i mean your already on website stop being lazy. if that dont work look up twinks on your server. also helps to post an armory link or name and server at least not just some of your random pick ups that you've gotten. and if your flag running probaly want most sta/armor you can get. besides looking it up for you thats probaly most help your gonna get. i dont think anyone is gonna do your leg work for you and make a list of need to have. if they do might as well have them run the flags for you.

watch swifty's old videos for flagrunning in wsg. granted, i think he was a level 60 in them but you can apply some of the theory.

Thanks Froman, that was the specific sort of advice I was looking for.

As for an Armory Link, as I Felt I'd implied, my warrior is not yet at 39, so several of the items I have to use aren't usable yet.

I've been using Minor Runspeed on my mages boots for a while, so I'm thinking that is probably the best. Boars Speed will run me 200-300G on Lightninghoof, so I don't think that would be a good return on investment.

For a weapon enchant, would Icey be worthwhile? And is it on a PPM or proc-per-hit? (fast or slow weapon).

Any other comments on tactics, gear, enchantments, etc, are welcomed.

Korosuru on Lightninghoof

P.S. I've just picked up a Scorpashi Cape

I'm semi-twinking my warrior for 39 pvp. Nightblade with Mongoose, Crushridge bracers with stats, Armory Head and Shoulder pieces, etc.

As for upgrades to your gear:

As a flag runner, you want to change your Aquamarine to Stamina or at least to Bear.

Legs: The Gnomer legs are an upgrade, but if you have the money then get a Leatherworker to make you the +30 stamina & +10 agility leg armor kit (approx. 70 gold) and put them on any +stamina green legs you can get in the ah. Make sure you dont equip the legs before you get them "enchanted" or you have to buy a new pair.

Chest: There's no real upgrade for the chest piece other than the scarlet chest piece, and that's almost not worth the legwork. Just get +100 or more hp or +stats to it if you can afford it.

Wrists: If you have a high level friend that can run you through about 15 minutes of Ulda, then beg him to run you to Ironaya for her bracers or buy the Crushridge ones in the AH and get stamina (5 or 7) on them.

Feet: Scarlet boots or Ravascuar (spelling?) are the best there are for the level, so run Armory for them or buy 37+ greens in the AH if you want some cheap. Stamina or run speed is great.

Back: Get the cloak from VC or some stamina cloak and enchant +armor if you want. Or you can wait to get the WSG cloak.
EDIT: Your cape looks good, so no use in replacing it unless you get the WSG cape. Enjoy!

Waist: There's nada. Just get something cheap or get the Scarlet belt.

Hands: Stamina is cheap for your hands.

You have the best shield and I don't know about 1H weapons.
Your gear should be good enough to outlast a twink rogue that tries and return the flag, just keep a healer and a dps with you, because you wont be top dps. Just find the one healer alliance has in WSG and stick with them, because you are not a solo machine.

I'd get a good shield if you're flag running (either The Green Tower or Aegis of the Scarlet Commander, with a stamina enchant on them). I know I just sit there in D stance with shield out not doing much at midfield sometimes and just soak up the HKs. I wouldn't even do much, but they'd all go for me because I had the flag (easiest aggro-holding you'll ever do) and my team would burn them down fast.
Granted running to base would have been better, but none of our guys went for their flag...so it worked out to where I had like 40 HKs before they finally killed me :)

Lots of people think flag running is about speed, but it's about survivability. Speed HELPS, but survivability is what makes it possible. If you're faster than the opposing faction, you're also faster than your teammates, and outrunning your healers and linebackers (i.e. stunners) is not a good thing unless there's no enemies between you and the end zone.

If you'd rather gear up to be that awesome damage-dealer, you can still carry the flag okay...but you're more going to be a combatant that can also carry the flag.
