When I'm in instances and I summon the elemental after the battle has begun sometimes the action bar won't appear. He won't attack a target unless I get attacked, which as a mage I try to avoid. I've had some battles where the elemental never fired a shot or I had to run in and take a hit and blink out for him to shoot. The question I have is, is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I've had the same problem before when I was still frost.. But I found out that deselecting the target then selecting it again will bring the bar up.
Yeah its a bug happens to me all the time, dunno how to fix it i do suggest listening to DarkHybridX, he could be right
Back when I had the elemental, I found it useful to have the hot keys memorized for just such an occasion. Actually got to the point where I'd use the keys even if the pet bar popped.

well what i found is that this problem is caused by some addons, i was useing cosmos and had this problem all the time but when i got rid of it and the problem went. hope this helps
