Hi there people, my mage just arrived in outlands and has completed her first 3-4 quests and I am already amazed by the great gear, even though I've been out there before. Specced frost at the moment, but I am considering trying a Scorch based build as I get more spelldamage, maybe when I'm somewhere around 200. This is what I've thought of, a build with nice mana efficiency, great dps (hopefully) and some nice impact bonuses now and then. Would this be a good idea?

That's the level 58 version anyway. If you have any opinions on it, or suggestions on where to go with talents after that, please post!

Your build should work just fine. I know a mage that leveled in Outland using a scorch build, though his was more like this(he started using it at 60) going to this at 70.

He liked having the talent Spell Power as a crit focused scorch mage, since it meant a fairly large increase in damage.

Thanks for posting, I dinged 60 last night and I tried it out with about 230 spelldamage, it's fun and VERY manaefficient :)
