Skinning would be excellent, and easy to level.

You could also consider going mining/engineering. While LW does give some good items, if you go engineering you can use jumper cables to rez a group member. So if the group wipes but you FD'd, you can be the wipe prevention.
Especially good to have if you're looking for pugs or guilds that have stigmas against hunters, you can say "yeah but I can jump if we wipe."

Jumper cables are really iffy though. Engineering has some cool toys you can make and play with, and a pair of goggles. But if you want something that is more usefull in the long run LW does the trick.

yeah, i think i will stick with LW, but is there another profession i should have with it?

Skinning will let you provide your own leather for items, so you won't need to buy stacks of that. This will save you a lot of money in the long run.

If you would do some basic research on the main wow site...

http://worldofwarcraft.com/info/professions/leatherworking.html
Quote:
You should already be a skinner since you will need hides and leather to create your items. It is possible to be a leatherworker without being a skinner if you buy or are given the required ingredients by other players but is not recommended.

Leatherworkers do not require any special equipment to create their items such as blacksmiths require anvils. Leatherworkers can create wherever they want as long as they have the proper required ingredients.

Quote:
The main staple for leatherworkers is obviously leather as well as hides. These are found by skinning animals. You will likely not get enough leather and hides on your own so you are encouraged to buy leather and hides as well as have your friends collect them for you. Recipes also require various other ingredients such as dyes and thread purchased from a Profession merchant. You might also need rare gems which are found from monster drops, treasure chests, mining, fishing, and Rogue pick pocketing.

Just another example of people needing the information spoon-fed to them...

You obviously did none of the work yourself, and therefore want the information spoonfed. If you had done any work you would have either
A) Not bothered posting, because you knew skinning goes with leatherworking
or
B) Asked the question as "Is skinning necessary for LW or is there something else I can use?"

But you clearly did none of the work, and I'm amazed you made it to 70 without realizing that LW use skinning mats, and therefore the two go hand-in-hand.
