Weapon mastery is going to be changed and give us 4 weapon expertise at max rank.

The patch notes say that weapon expertise will reduce a mobs chance to dodge and parry by .25% for each point (not rating). So max rank in weapon mastery will net a 1% decrease in dodge for DPS warriors.

It has been said before in other threads in this forum that it will grant 4% reduction to dodge. Where did this other information come from? Was it heresay? Is there a blue post supporting it?

On the page right after the one you posted Rip the blue says

Quote:
PTR isn't updated with the new version of weapon mastery yet. It's a straight 4% dodge reduction (in addition to the disarm duration reduction)

1% dodge reduction? Pft. 4%? Not bad, not bad. :D

Depending on if you spec imp overpower or not, it is bad. This means no longer having an instant attack that hits pretty hard whenever someone/mob dodges.

I dont quite remember if in the patch notes for the next patch if they put weapon mastery in the fury tree,(if they did, disregard this part entirely) then it would be way to deep into arms to get and still dual wield, unless you are not the smartest kid out there.

Just checked the PTR and it has been changed to 2% dodge reduction.

Per point or total?

Just logged on myself and it says it's +2 Expertise per point.

Weapon mastery tooltip.

I had a 80 meg patch to DL before I could get on so this is a recent change.

2% is no 4%, but it's better than 1% and surely better than Imp Intercept for DPS :)

The question is whether or not you going to pull points out of other talents to pick it up. I'm seriously thinking of dropping imp execute for this. If it were 4% there would be no doubt.

I'd wait till 2.3 comes out and theres some opportunity for number crunching. Apparently theres no free talent respecs.

I'd imagine the dps difference between imp execute and weapon mastery would be small, if anything.

I got a free respec when I logged into the test server. Course that might just be status quo for the test server. I normally don't log into it unless there are major changes to warrior.
