Playing today i ran into a wild griffon and i was wondering if a hunter could tame it? I searched on Petopia's list of WoW beasts that are tamable and it wasnt there. Just wondering if it was possible.

No. Only tameable beasts at present are: bat, bear, boar, carrion bird, cat, crab, crocolisk, dragonhawk, gorilla, hyena, nether ray, owl, raptor, ravager, scorpid, serpent, spider, sporebat, tallstrider, turtle, warp stalker, windserpent, and wolf. Basically, if Petopia don't list it, it ain't tamable.

Actually, if you are Horde, you can. But it is nigh impossible. You have to go solo a flightmaster (who spawns alot of gryphons), or wait until they spawn so you can try to kite one of them away from the rest. Give it a few tries, don't give up just because you die a few times.

Aye, the same situation could said if you're alliance too. Except its Pridewings instead of Gryphons.
Let's not forget taming druids while they are in animal form. The best pet is a druid in bear form.

Petopia is complete. If it's not there, you can't tame it.

Don't try to tame the druids in Flight Form, they are about as useful as the Little White kitten from the Cat Carrier as a pet in battle.

That must be pretty good, then... I heard that the Little White Kitten can solo Ragnaros...
What about druids in swim form? they're worse than flight form. Just flop around on the ground and always get despawned cuz they travel so slow and fall WAY behind, but at least that means you never have to feed them.

And if you have no patience to go out and tame a pet, just go to the middle of a town and tame someone elses pet, it's much much easier.
