Tauren Druid Starting BC TonightFollow

#1 Oct 18 2007 at 11:18 AM Rating: Decent
After over a year away from WoW, I'm coming back. I will be starting tonight on my 60 Tauren Druid.

Since I haven't played the BC expansion yet, I was wondering if there is anything I should do before heading to the Hellfire Penninsula. Things like quests originating elsewhere, talking to trainer, etc.

Thanks!

As far as I know, there is no quest that links Azeroth and the Outland, except for seasonal stuff.

As for trainers, just remember to respec if you haven't done so already. When the expansion came out, everyone got their talent points refunded to spend them and relearn ranked talents at the trainer if needed.

Can't think of anything else. O_o

Also, use the dark portal in southern badlands.. it has a quest on the azerothian side of the portal that brings u straight to Honor hold in hellfire, with nice exp :P and some cash

No! No, no, no! Why should he buy green items before going there? Why? The first ten quests will give him gear equal to Azeroth Tier 2 or so. Spending money on gear before going to Outland is just a waste of money.

Unless you're naked. And hell, my Rogue did the first five quests naked with only two level 30 swords and some level 40 pants.

Lol? O_o

But yah, definitely wait for the first quest rewards. It won't fill all your slots but on the other hand, Druids do not need as much geared to kill stuff so you can always wait till you're done in HFP at least and then check out the AH to replace some armor parts that you couldn't upgrade with quest rewards. Or you can just wait and save up for epic flying skill.

When BC came out, I tried to rush my druid to 70... but I stopped at 57. I came back to him 6 months later and I went to Outland to grind to 58 with the gear I had at that moment.

Believe me, I would have been ashamed if people would have inspected me! Some greens/blues from the 30s.. one piece in the 50s. I did fine, and the quest rewards is a blessing. Ramparts can be done as low as 57-58 and there are nice gear upgrades!

To the OP, I hope you left your char somewhere you are rested! :D

OP: Read up on the Cenarion Expedition, http://www.wowwiki.com/Cenarion_Expedition and the other Outland factions. Definitely DO NOT do the CE quests until you're Honored, otherwise you'll be stuck running Steamvaults until your eyes bleed. I really screwed myself on this. Just went charging through all the quests thinking I'd deal with rep later. <:-/

btw, Cenarion Expedition is not the same as Cenarion Circle.
