I have collected mail armour, but can't wear it? When can I or how?

Never. You are allowed only leather armor (which is ok if you think what armor a dire bear would have if we were allowed to wear mail)

"only leather" is a little strong. You are allowed to wear cloth as well. Some druids use cloth items with Int/Spi/+heal etc for their caster sets, but you cannot use Mail or Plate items

well if I have to be more specific YES he is also allowed cloth armor but I guessed his interest was in armor boost since he was asking about mail, plus he must have realised it until now that he can also wear cloth. Whatever, maybe he hasn't...

Don't worry about your leather armor, though. Once you get your Bear form you'll notice that your armor is greatly increased whenever you change into Fluffynoodles. All that thick, fluffy fur works just like mail armor on those silly little weapons.

As you reach level 40 and gain the ability to change into the Dire Bear, your fur is like mithril or something (kevlar fur?) equal to plate armor.

I'm wearing leather armor, but I have 13,000 armor in Dire Bear form so no worries. Smiley: smile

Also, for more fun, look for leather with an armor bonus that is green instead of white. This indicates the special quality of this peice of gear isn't just something like +str, int, etc, but increased armor over other peices at this level.

Some of these have equivalent armor to mail. And then you go dire bear...

Plate is for wimps, real men have Adamantite Fur!

Yeah I think everybody 60+ remembers getting Jerkin of the Untamed Spirit as a quest reward for one of the first quests in Hellfire Peninsula. : )
