I am 350 tailoring now and am trying to get the shadow tailoring. I have tried three times and each time I clock the jewel at the altar I dont get a buff. Do you have to be standing on top of the altar? I have tried a few things...have not tried that but it is a pain flying there then back to shatt just to abandon and get the quest again.
Any help would be apreciated

Yes, as far as I know you will need to be standing on the altar to complete the quest.
I stood on the ground next to it,on the side with the npc...didnt have any issues completing...
I have tried everything I stood next to the guy I stood on the altar everything.....is there anything you need to do besides click on the jewel thing. I get the lightning thing and all that but no buff??? please someone help!

Are you saying you do not get quest complete when you do this?
If so,I'm guessing something is bugged for you,and you may want to contact a GM..
