Frozen Shadoweave - Stupid, but...Follow

#1 Oct 17 2007 at 6:43 AM Rating: Decent
When using a frozen shadoweave set which heals you for 2% of all the frost and shadow damage you deal, is there any way of stopping the big green numbers flashing up in front of your character every second?

Same goes for mana tap. Although this isn't used on almost every spell and is kinda handy.

Is there an interface option or a add on I can use?

Thanks.

Go to interface options ingame. Click the tab with advanced options and then u will see Blizzards scrolling combat text options in the lower right side bar.

You have various options here what to show and what not to show. Deselect the mana and health gain parts and you will be fine

A bit of an OT - is Shadoweave viable for starter-pvp gear for an Ice mage? Is that 2% heal actually worth taking up that set?

I'm a tailor so I'm crafting these for my mage (currently 65). I'm no expert but from what I gather the + dmg in frost spells makes this set well worth the effort.

The health gain is negligable (27hp here and there) while it adds up, but that is for a crit frostbolt or something of that sort... every 2.5 seconds, so in reality the health gained is pretty minor, if you are a frost mage it is a good set to have, especially for raiding though.

The set is awesome, but I wish that there was a better set bonus. Imo the health gain is not that good.

I think the health gain is more for Shadow priests, a lot of health can come from constant mind flays :)

It'd also be pretty useful for locks, IMO.

Its a good set for a pvp frost mage. It has a lot of +stm and you could put +stm gems to make it a pvp set. I really wish I could wear mine but respecting shadow cloth specialist just to pvp then back again to spellcloth for raid is too expensive to consider.
