No, SV spec go for other pants. If you still want those as a SV hunter socket 3x8agi or 2x8agi and another agi/sta gem for the 4 hit rating socket bonus if you still need a lot hit rating.

I'm sorry, but it's not like this is an either/or option. The Midnight Legguards are not terrible pants. It's not like someone can choose between these and the Gladiators pants. Obviously, if you could, the choice would be clear. But, if the choice is between Midnight Legguards and inferior blues, then equip them and gem them until you can get something better (which may take a while).

IMO, either one of the options of gems OP was looking at would work just fine. The difference between the +4 crit or 8AP for the third gem is negligible.

I picked the gladiator pants because they have nice stats for SV and they are very easy to get. what's it take, 3 weeks in any kind of decent 5v5?

I know why you picked them. They're good pants. I'm not saying they're not.

But, my point stands. The OP got Midnight Legguards from a drop and asked about gemming them. Telling him to go get Gladiator's pants is totally beside the point. Is he supposed to vendor the Midnight Legguards and go Arena for 3 weeks so he can get the Gladiator's pants? (rhetorical question)
