Which to get? I wanna try out mut, but the dagger seems kind of costly and I really like the shoulders. Is the respec from combat maces to mut really gonna make much of a difference? And are there other good OH daggers that are not as expensive as this one that I can easily obtain (epic please)?

If you aren't breaking 2000 currently... get the shoudlers. You aren't gonna be replacing them for a long time.
I THINK there is a good epic offhand in Heroic Ramparts albeit lower droprate.
As for the Mut comment. Yea, we all noted at least at first Mut is just that fun factor thing for it. It is still a good candidate, but it just isn't the best.
Neilyo himself has said many times he often thinks about, and wants to go maces.

Why did you say retainer's was a bad OH awhile back? Doesn't seem too bad for a mut starter.
Combination of things. Back when the speed was 1.4 first of all (don't remember if it still is, I never bought it). Coupled with that is has HORRIBLE low end damage. Ced's carver has a narrower damage range (what you want in Mut, High top end, but also not to low of a low end). Overall it isn't horrid, especially now that the math has been put out about Mut OH speeds, but the damage range on it is "Meh" at best.
I mean, if you have nothing else, use it. And if you really wanna try Mut, grab that and get your shoulders IMO, but personally I would look to replace it if you were really serious about trying Mut.
