Whats up with rogue?Follow

#1 Oct 16 2007 at 8:45 PM Rating: Default
So with Weapon expertise and Mage fireball being changed, Does anyone see rogue fading even more from raid invites? Honestly I think mages are going to start seeing much higher numbers. Really right now all rogue has to offer is interrupts and 2-5% damage increase.I'de really like to see in the expansion more bosses that spell reflect and mana burn(sorry healers) or something else to make melee stronger. I don't mean to turn this post into a whine fest i'm just wondering what other rogues see. It would also be nice to have an improved sap that somehow only worked on PvE targets to where we had a reliable CC compared to hunters, mages, priest, warlock (lawl did I miss anyone)

Rogue, who needs them.

Rogues dont sap in raids. 5-man utility is our innate imp sap. Thats it.

Myself and the other 2 "main" rogues in my new (i.e just joined, they liked my dps i get to go on any raids i can make it to) always get invites. The druid/hunter/Xrogues/warrior team rocks the house. (we has no enh. shammies)

Lrn2Dps. get good gear pre-kara, so you dont suck *** on the meters, then keep getting better gear.

So long as your top 3(10man)/5(25man) your invites will still be there.

Don't die.

He's saying he wants a different form of saps for rogues so they DO sap in raids.

New Talent:

Super Sap
Rank 1/1
Mandatory Talents: 5 points in Subtlety, 2 points in dirty tricks
5 minute cooldown
20 second duration
When activated, saps all targets within a 15 yard radius.

OR

Super Sap
Rank 1/1
Mandatory Talents: 5 points in Subtlety, 2 points in dirty tricks
Allows up to two sapped targets at a time, allows you to sap any target (including beast, dragonkin, elemental, demon and giant), and gives a small chance to sap targets that would normally be immune but with a reduced time.

Personally I would prefer the second one, but thats just me. Eould be nice to have something like this especially in solo for those quests where all you have to do is grab an item.

The first one would be really, REALLY overpowered. It would also allow you to do some weird things.

You could sap entire rooms in old world instances, you could also get to almost any chest in any instance.

Yea, you're right, but I personally dont like keeping track of more cooldown abilities than I have to. It's just a dream though...

Rogue is the number one single target DPSer in the game, so they are needed.

I just had an image of a Rogue pulling out a 20ft long wooden club and bashing one of the Core Hounds in MC over the head.
