Just to respond to my own post, I went and got my ravager.... fuggin love it! he is awesome in PvP and instances. Gore and the other talents i have seem to disrupt casters with how fast he hits. And he eats rogues and clothies for lunch. I just stand there in AV and watch things die to my mean little pile of spikes and teeth.

On another note, his tanking is lackluster. So, i went and tamed a Plagued Swine in EPL. That, ladies and gentlemen is an awesome pet. I am a 60 and usually when i send Ezekiel (ravager) at something i wait a sec then hit is with Serpent Sting and then fall into autoshoot routine. after a few growls Zeke has built up about 3k-4k threat and the fight is going well.

Abraham (pig) is a totally different story. When he charges a target he immediately generates about 3.6k threat. With great armor and decent dps (kinda) I had forgotten how great boars are at tanking. Any hunters that need or want a badass tank, give a pig a try.

Every bot I saw on my server while leveling my hunter was hunter with pig named Boar.
Sole reason I got so disgusted with pigs I would never get one.

I am leveling the kitty I have from her level 8 and white wind serpent I was lucky to fetch in Feralas.
Last night in Underbog I was primary CC (priest did some MC but not much really) and I still did top dps with wind serpent. The night before that I had my cat along and I cant say I saw much difference... they both tanked Claw perfectly too.

Soon I get LB 6 I will decide on 3rd one. Rema or Trachella, they both look pretty to me :D
Ravager is simply - ugly.

I'm a lvl 60 BM hunter. I have 3 pets. My kitty, a boar, and a wolf. I must say I love them all. I haven't tried my boar in PvP yet, but with his charge, it should be fun stuff. I got my wolf just to teach my kitty dash, but kept him because furious howl just sends the message that death is on the way...LOL

What drew me to the hunter class were the pets, not the amount of damage a mobile DoT could do. So for me the aesthetics of a pet are at least as important, and often more so, than how well they do in combat. Trust me, Cashara has not been using a pink tallstrider for 60 levels because of its awesome DPS. But Sweetpea has been the most enjoyable pet I’ve had on all my hunters. There’s nothing like watching a giant, pink bird of death massacre some massive, nightmarish group of monsters. It brings a smile to my face. Still, I wouldn’t be upset if Blizzard gave tallstriders an attack like claw without a cool down.

While Sweetpea has been a joy to have as a pet, there are other pets on my various hunters that I also hold dear. Chief among those are my albino crocalisk (Brawny), my black armored boar (Mojo) and my green warpstalker (Gleep). I have nothing against ravagers, I just don’t find them appealing. Which is rather odd as one of my hunters has two different spiders as her pets.

I like my Ravager,Tuti, not because of his DPS but because I just like the way he looks.Sleek?No.Graceful?Not really.Intimidating?Yes.I just like the creepy, scaly, freakish looking creature more than the boring run of the mill plain creatures like cats, bears, boars etc.I had a Sporebat for awhile just because...

My other pets are a Serpent and a Warpstalker.

Scalelies unite!
