and using the frost tree for lvling in any other way then AoE grinding is just pure noob.

I don't want to disagree with you or anything, well, yes i do. Frost is amazing for basicly any aplication. Great for leveling, you'll hardly get touched. Great for pvp, melee will be tearing their hairs out trying to get you. Pretty good for raiding as well, although it lacks the big bangs of Arcane/Fire specs.

I'm sorry to say that you're little "perfect" rotation isn't as godly as you may think, but it isn't.

I had a really nice detailed post typed up, but then I misclicked the tab and closed it. T.T;; It had a talent recomendations (with build links) for every ten levels for survivability and everything.

I hate tabs. -.-;;

So, it basically said:

Talents at 23: 5/5 Imp. Frostbolt, 5/5 Ice Shards, 1/3 Frostbite, 2/2 Imp. F.Nova, 1/1 Cold Snap.

At 29 I recommend you have 2/3 Frost Bite and capped Shatter, with your next point going to Ice Block then capping Frostbite. After that, there are a few good talent choices for you to make based on your play style.

Since when do mages have a ressurection spell? Because this cadaver comes from page 4.

If I remember correctly, I never had any problems when I was lv 15-25. I only had problems in the early 30's. Hard to get new gear and spells, because they started to be worth gold which I did not have.

It really depends on your gear at your level. If you still have whites and grays then of course your gonna suck.

I guess it slightly affects which rank of spells your using too.

By the way, what server are you on?

On my lvl 21 mage I run around grab 2 or 3 mobs with my mana shield up. once I grab them all together I FN them. Back up a little bit and Blizzard on them. What ever is still alive I mop up with Arcane explosion. Seems to work just fine for mobs my level and lower. Never tried it on mobs higher as I don't like using cold snap early in fights.

Exactly. I find that it works the best when dealing with either grouped mobs or against a mob that has a pet, like the Ogre Warlocks.

Against grouped mobs, that's a given. But it sounded like the guy you quoted did it for single pulls for ranged purposes - which is an alright mana investment as long as it's done smart (doing it for every solo pull mob would be a waste of time and mana, since half the time you'd end up preventing the mob from walking slightly out of range while the spell was being cast - so you'd be reducing the range you had on the mob.)

I still think my lv 47 Mage is a whimp, but I can't figure out what to do.

My ideas for my talend build is this:
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/mage/talents.html?2550050000230150333125105023201200000000000000000000000000000000000

Perhaps you can PM me and give some tips. Also gear wise.
I think I have the wrong gear but I'm not sure.
