Question about DWing...Follow

#1 Oct 16 2007 at 1:08 AM Rating: Decent
I currently have a 49 enhancment shammy. The first set of weapons a weaponsmith can make have a nice set of axes and maces. They both have the same DPS, but the axes have 14 crit, and the maces have 28 attack power. Also, the axes have a 2.5 speed, whereas the maces have a 2.6 speed.

My question is, would it really hurt my WF procs if I went DWed the slightly faster weapons for the increased crit? Or would the attack power be better anyways? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not really sure, but I would say go with the maces. Slower weapons and 28 attack power, or 2DPS each, as compared to...I think 2% crit, and anyway, when you turn 50 those maces will give you more mana back.

The maces. 2 reasons.

First of all they have the same DPS but the maces are slower meaning the maces have a higher Damage / Hit. This directly translates to bigger WF procs.

Second the maces have AP and as mizz said this will yield higher mana returns from SR when you get it.

Crit is good but is more important for PvP with a 2 hander because in that case you are looking for burst as opposed to Dual Wield PvE where you are looking for consistant damage.
