Once you are DW, do you ever 2H?Follow

I've been dual wielding for a couple levels now (got a late start). But do I ever go back to a 2H'er? I got a good staff (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=29910&locale=enUS;source=live) but I noticed it takes me a lot longer to kill a mob.

Your thoughts?

You do not need to be specced to use 2hander's to use a staff. I would respec and use your talent points elsewhere.

If you have a good staff respec to elemental or resto. :) Otherwise it might be in your best interest to get a good 2hander like a mace/axe and use that.

Don't have DW yet, only 27, but I have a related question. I'm currently using a Blue staff cause it has over 20dps, somethign i have yet to see on a 2H axe or mace. Is that ok or should I look for an axe or mace anyway? I'm ENH btw,

Staves have caster stats such as +Int, Spi, Stam, spell dmg and healing and the like.

Maces can have stats for a mix of casters and melees, such as Int, Stam, Str, +dmg & healing as well.(usually for Druids, Shammies, and Pallies)

Axes you'll notice will have more pure melee stats; AP, Str, Agi, Stam.

So consider the bonus stats when you want to use something to melee with!

Edit: In my experiences so far, I find the mob is burned down much faster dual wielding, and while dual wielding I find flurry to be up more often as well.

Having a good two hander has good burst damage, which is good for PvP. It just hurts when you miss wielding a big bad two hander, because you have to wait longer for that next swing, which can slow things down a bit. When you get that triple crit WF proc though, it's so sweet.

But thats what this comes to, if your enhancement DW for pve, 2h for pvp (where burst damage is king)

And when u DW make sure u have axes or maces 2.6 speed or slower for more efficient WF procs

I always dual wield for pve, Ive been saving up a 2hander in my bags for when i start doing hardcore pvp, 2hers r better in pvp and DW in Pve.

here is how i look at it: DW with slow one hand weapons with windfury enchant, this max out the dps for u, in PvE that is

but when it comes to PvP, use a slow 2Hand mace/axe, dont use staff because they are for casters, they might have ok dps at lower lvls but when u get to lvl 70, the epic staffs have about 70 dps and the epic mace have at least 105.
also staffs have stats for casters as well so get a 2 hand mace/axe
