I am 16 druid, specced feral. I decided on skinning/tailoring as I considered bags to be very profitable and skinning for a $$ making gathering skill. I have a pretty nice skill level for both (considering im 16:P)and currently have almost 2 gold. I am not really sure if that is below or above average (or even AVERAGE) so I wanted to ask if I should begin putting my light leathers on the AH and even some bags on it too....or should I wait a bit to higher skill levels for better bags and heavy leather or mats like that one.....

Light Leather sells for about 20-25s a stack on my server, which is nice money when you're under level 20. Definitely sell it if you're Alliance. Low level leather I think tends to sell less well on the Horde side because everyone spending 10 levels in the Barrens = glut on low level leather.
I'm sure the market for bags is very server dependent. On mine it would be worth more just to sell the cloth until you get to the really big bags, so I'd only sell the ones I made for skill-ups, not make them special.

It's worth taking some time to analyze the market. I leveled tailoring to 300 on one alt and bags didn't make me any money. Just made me lose a bit less. If you're really just after money, selling the cloth will usually be more profitable.

I personally picked Herbalism and Skinning. Since my friends are Alchemists and Leatherworkers, I gather the mats for the potions or armor I need.
