So we're actually doing good...Follow

In 3v3 =D

And with the recent changes to arena points in lower bracket, I don't feel so gimp that I can't really compete in 5v5s...

Last weeks stats were:

Quote:
2 vs 2

Warrior 45 (24%)
Druid 42 (22.7%)
Warlock 29 (15.7%)
Paladin 26 (14%)
Priest 19 (10.3%)
Rogue 13 (7%)
Mage 5 (2.7%)
Hunter 3 (1.6%)
Shaman 3 (1.6%)

3vs3

Priest 49 (16%)
Mage 48 (15.7%)
Rogue 46 (15%)
Warrior 45 (14.7%)
Warlock 42 (13.7%)
Druid 35 (11.4%)
Paladin 25 (8.2%)
Shaman 14 (4.6%)
Hunter 2 (0.6%)

5vs5

Warrior 115 (18%)
Paladin 107 (16.7%)
Priest 106 (16.6%)
Shaman 89 (13.9%)
Mage 82 (12.8%)
Warlock 69 (10.8%)
Rogue 25 (3.9%)
Hunter 24 (3.7%)
Druid 22 (3.4%)

That being said, a few other things stood out for me:

How incredibly over represented warriors are.

Warriors dominating 5v5 is nothing new... but 2v2? Poor lil Warlock got knocked down a peg or two by some stormherald action it seems!

And they're only 1.3% away from top representation in 3v3 as well, so it's not like they suffer in that bracket either.

So yeah, Warriors who qq about mace stuns nerf and other pvp related nerf - if there ever was a more warranted nerf in WoW's history, I can't think of it.

Druids are doing ton better, especially in a smaller type of game, then they were last season.

It appears the power of a well played resto druid has made it's mark. They're certainly my less favorite healers to go against in 2v2.

They failed to make a dent in 5v5 however, probably not for lack of trying...

Hunters really suck!

Geez, talk about being a non-factor! Anybody who complain about their buffs and rumored one (MS shot, Deadzone reduction, etc), needs to get slapped! Those guys need help something fierce.

I mean, it's been known for a while, but after spending 2 seasons at the bottom of the barrel, it can't be argued that this is an adaptability problem - the class just has to many shortcoming.

3v3 is a lot more balanced then some may think.

Based on class representation anyway. Baring the Hunter class, there's a much smoother % curve in the 3v3 bracket then the 5v5...

Warriors need more nerfs imo... it's only mace stun and disarm immunity removed.

Still this shows that classes aren't balanced in the sense that some really do have it easily (if they were, you'd see an even spread from all classes and not two dominating half the representation).

Rogue finishes 6/9 in 2v2, 3/9 in 3v3 and 7/9 in 5v5. Compare that to (as you said) Warriors ( 1/9, 4/9, 1/9) and I think it's quite obvious they're at least "easier to do well with" in arena than the other classes.

Although I must say I was surprised there were less warlocks...

Am I still allowed to laugh uncontrollably every time I see a Warlock say "Cloak of Skill", as if Rogues were overpowered?

I wonder what it would look like if we got some numbers based on what percentage of actual players of x class were at the top. Something normalized based on how many of a given class were actually competing. IE: I know in the past, there were a great number more rogues than warlocks playing WoW. Warriors also have a large user base.

The other thing to consider is spec for classes that have multiple different specs. For rogue's it's not a big deal. While our spec changes our play style a bit, we still are primary DPS, and no spec change is going to change that. However, look at shammys. I would suspect that most shammys doing arena are resto. I would also suspect that most paladins doing arena are holy.

I've been meaning to get our 3v3 team going since I got back. I really would like to try either warlock/rogue/pally or warlock/rogue/priest. It'll probably be the former, as I generally play with my little brother (a pally). He needs 1 more piece of T5 for that nice set bonus... so hopefully that comes soon.

Actually, warrior representation is one of the reasons I'm becoming less and less enthusiastic with the game. I just got a new job so raiding is almost out of the question, and arena isn't fun in Vengeance with every other team in the 1750+ 2v2 being something/resto druid or something/warrior with 4/5 or 5/5 s2 gear.

Girlfriend is the other reason, I enjoy being with her much more than I enjoy being with my computer.

LOL that's so sweet. :P Well I have the same feeling after hitting warriors few times in 2v2, I guess it just impossible to beat a warrior.

Exactly what I was thinking.

One other thing... About the warrior nerf to maces. RPZip did some math on how much the nerf actually was in the warrior forums. Basically, the chance for the stun went from 11% to 9.7%, so it's still ~ 1 in 10 chance. Call it a nerf if you want but w/e. This was changed from his initial theorycrafting of 11% to 9.5%, but the former numbers were from testing on the ptr.

2 weeks ago we had made good progress in our 2s finally pulling it out of the 1400 ******* and i felt like we were getting the hang of it and on a roll...

Then last week we had 10 games against warrior+whatever. 10 games, all different teams, all had a warrior. We crashed and burned again. depressing.
