I know warriors imp demo shout only works on mobs up to rank 2, unless they get an AP increase from a warlocks CoR. Is this same rule applied to imp demo roar?

well our base AP reduction is less so I'm not sure exactly how things work out, but yes, we have to worry about the cap too. There was odd scaling with AP on enemies between 60 and 70.

I was just wondering, because on my druid when I hit end-game if I want to tank, I was wondering if 2/5 feral aggression would work.

This is the pure-tank feral build I came up with. I left out brutal impact because IIRC most bosses are immune to stuns, left out savage fury because it's a purely cat talent, left out nurturing instinct because I will be tanking (not healing), only picked up primal tenacity because I had another 3 points to spend (and chose that over natural shapeshifter because I won't be switching back an forth).
On the resto side, Imp Mark over Furor b/c why am I going to leave bear form to come back in the first place? The rest of my choices should be self explanatory.

Furor because you will shift out before every pull and shift back in just before heading in, either for a Feral Charge or just for the initial rage for a first few moves.

You can even shift, hit Enrage and then engage combat as soon as Enrage ends. That will give you the most rage possible.

Also, if needed, during a fight where you see a mob going toward a caster but you can't manage to get into range to taunt it off, you can shift out and right back in for a Feral Charge to immobilize him and taunt him before he even reaches the squishy.

Feral Agression is typically regarded as not worth it anyway, as you're likely going to have a warrior in the party. I just did the math and a warrior's base shout is 300, while Druids get 240, so talented you're still low (278 at 2 points). If 348 is in fact the last useful point, we can sink all 5 talent points in there without hitting it.

Brutal impact's a toss-up. Bosses are immune, but trash usually isn't. Different people have different opinions.

While Savage Fury isn't useful in bear, a feral who only does tanking may as well be a warrior. It's not critical but it's... oh nevermind, I just noticed Shred's not boosted. Yeah, pointless talent for raiding. The only ability in that talent a raiding cat uses is Mangle every 12 seconds (and not even then if you've got a mangle-***** set up that's not you).

I personally prefer Furor as it gives rage at the critical start of a battle, when a dodged hit or a parried attack can cause hiccups in threat generation. Then again I don't like Intensity, but I suppose it can serve the same purpose, just once a minute rather than on-demand.

Your talent sheet has Natural Shifter over Primal Tenacity, but you mentioned doing it the other way. I support Tenacity, as it's only useful in select places, but when it's needed it helps, since we can't stancedance for fears. It's 15% (stacks with Predatory Instincts for AoE fears) but it's one less thing that can go wrong (15% of the time).

I changed it, may have forgotten to re-click "link this build."

With 5/5 FA you'd only get to 335 AP reduction with Demoralizing Roar, with is 15 short of the cap. It's not worth the points, though; just get a Warrior to use it, either a DPS Warrior with the points in it or just a non-improved one and spend the points elsewhere.

Natural Shapeshifter isn't needed in a tanking build... or a DPS build, really, it's more of a soloing/PvP talent. Brutal Impact is nice for trash (which is a factor, believe me) but it's usually a non-factor on bosses; I'd pick it up, but that's me.

I'm not talking raids, just 5-mans.

I'd take the 2 points outta Feral Aggression and putn them into Nurturing Instinct.
The extra healing can be quite useful.

I second the interrogation.

Nurturing Instinct is based on Strength which you don't have a whole lot as a tank. Furthermore, you won't be healing if you're tanking, otherwise you'll die instantly. (We're talking end-game here)

If you lose aggro, shifting out to heal won't do any good, you have to regain aggro ASAP. You shouldn't really lose it in the first place, but **** happens.

I'd go with something like this.

I'll third the interrogation about Nurturing Instinct. I know of what I speak because I grabbed it while leveling up and it was the thorn in my side that had me wanting to respec for the longest time.

P.S. A quick appreciative LOL your direction, Selverein...I get a kick out of reading the "moving on" part of your sig every time you weigh in with another great response these days. Moving on? Puhleeeeze! Just log back in already.

Hahaha, touché. XD

I know I want to, I just don't have that much time. Trolling these forums is so much easier since I got a computer job anyway. :P And I love these boards, lotsa great and helpful people with good discussions.

Perhaps I will, sometime. I'm dying to make another Druid. :3
