Hey, it's Eon, the guy who changed how I play every toon I have. Rate up for existing!! :)

If you're referring to the keybinding guide - I mostly just got advice from the people here (with an extra nod to Theophany) and wrote it up in handy post.

Philosophically speaking, when was the last time ANY of us had a truly original thought? We are all pilferers and plunderers and regurgitators of knowledge.

Rate up for humility! :P

So I won't even argue the math on which does more damage, I think its been pretty clearly proven that combat swords is the more efficient leveling spec. HOWEVER, I love Muti. Just like the OP I leveled most of the way on combat swords but it just didn't feel roguish...

I switched to muti at 62 but frankly it was tough and probably a little too early. Switched back to muti again at 66 and I love it. Way fun, and I feel like a rogue. Sneak around, CS, muti, KS, etc.

Of course it is a pain in the *** when you get a few adds, no more AR, BF. But then I'm a rogue, I should be standing toe-to-toe with 3 ogres....vanish and try again.

So anyway, try it, you might like it. Have fun and don't worry if you have 5.6758 less DPS than you could have

and to answer your question you get behind the target with Stealth, CS and KS. Gouge does break from poison, sometimes you can time it right but certainly not reliably.

Also make sure you turn with your mouse! Keyboard turning does not work with muti....see the post on that...

Never intended to debate whether combat spec is the most efficient for leveling, just so we're clear. My questions assumed that combat was the most efficient method and went further to wonder whether a dagger OH weap (at my level range) actually made more sense. Kinda mixed responses on that, I think.

So how about this--does it make any sense at all to go combat but NOT pick up Sword Specialization and THEN use a dagger OH? That way you're not really "wasting" talent points by picking up the extra swing prock when half your weapons are unsword. One could spend those points elsewhere..though I'm not sure where exactly.

Why on Bob's green earth would you turn down a straight 5% damage increase?

While you're leveling, don't worry so much about your offhand. Once you get to 70 (if not sooner), get a fast offhand that matches your weapon spec.
