Coming back to warcraft....Follow

I'm leaning towards being a Rogue this time around. How do Blood Elves fend as rogues? not so hot? decent? I know it depends on the player, and of course the gear, but... As far as stats, and abilities go, are they pretty good? I have heard from a real life friend that blood elves racials lead to them being more of a magic type race... Any input on this? I'll also be on a pvp server. Thanks in advance! gotta go, at work.

orcs and humans are also awesome at being rogues
i would trade my NE rogue for a human anyday
perception is the BEST for fighting other rogues/feral druids
orcs are good for their racial (not reccomended if someone is trying to heal you =X) and if youre combat then youve most likely got nerves of steel and pair that with your racial talent and youve automatically got 25% chance to resist stuns and fears.
and please, before you post on the rogue forums, L2Spell rogue. we are not make up.

What makes undead better than other horde races?

The Racial "Will Of The forsaken" for pvp. To quote the Allakhazam description of it:

Quote:
Will of the Forsaken: Activated ability that makes the Undead immune to fear, charm and sleep effects temporarily

It can also be used to break fear/charm/sleep effects as well as provide immunity. You don't have to use it pre-emptively. The Cannibalize racial is useful for speeding up downtime, the underwater breathing is useful as a rogue since it makes stealthing underwater a lot more viable... i.e. you don't drown half way to your target. Pretty good all round really.

Ultimately go for whatever you are happy to look at for the next 70 levels.

I bought WoW one month before TBC was released and rolled a troll. As soon as TBC was released, I re-rolled a female BE rogue 'cause they were the best looking and I'd rather look at a woman than a man at any given point in time (even if it is only a cartoon). Anyway, I figured that the silence would be a benefit in pvp, but tbh I really don't think it's worth much. It's only 2sec. and has a small radius which they can simply walk out of. I still use it quite often simply because I haven't tested it and cling to the hopes that I'm actually doing something. I use it in the gaps between the other various cds. As far as mana tap is concerned, I never use it. It's got gcd, so I'd much rather use a rogue ability. Even an untalented gouge will net you more energy.

If you plan to pvp, I suggest going undead or orc. If you plan to pve mostly, I think orc would be a good choice.

You can check them all out here. I personally recommend undead for a pvp server(2min cooldown on fear/sleep/charm dispel = <3), but to each their own, right?

On these boards we OFTEN see BE rogues regretting their choice of race.

I have NEVER seen an undead do that.

Oh well, I guess it's not too bad. I'm not looking to be the best rogue, I simply want to enjoy my class and the game. As long as I'm on par, I'm happy.

Silence for 2secs doesn't seem too bad a PvP racial, as I sometimes am looking for my 3rd (4th?) spell interrupt whislt going for that last shot on a healer desperately trying to pull off that flash heal...
