I've just hit level 43 and 250 tailoring. As I'm fire specced I'm very interested in the cindercloth pieces.
To wear these however, I would lose out on Intellect and other stat boosts, as they only have an armor rating, and +fire damage.
What I want to know, is would the loss of intellect be worth while to boost my fire damage (ie less mana but more damage), or does it roughly balance out?

Any help would be appreciated.

At that level, I definitely wouldn't consider using something that's damage only as a mage. The stats are very important.

Though, you might look into some Dreamweave gear. It has stats and damage.
