weapons and dps question (70)Follow

i wanne get as many dps as i can out of mine shammy i am ful melee power (talents)
what weapons give the highest damage,are the best?

wath is the best combo for dps generaly?

bydeway why are some pp saying its better to have a 2handed weapon for DPS while combo does more damage like for exampel 2 1H=2x 100 2H=1x135
if indead its true whats the best 2H weapon for shamy?

end than noob question:
why is the grounden totem used for never seen the perpuse of it can someone explain?

why trertom totem never protect aigaints fear *** it schoud do?

i noticed there is a damage calc for rogue,warlock,warier coudent find 1 for shammy someone knows 1?

As far as the weapons go, by the time you are progressed enough to even dream of seeing either one you will know the answer to your question, for now just look for two slow weapons (2.4 or slower) making sure the offhand is not faster than the main and put WF on both.



Dual wield is best for PvE as it gives you sustained DPS without too many huge spikes. A 2 hander is superior for PvP for burst.



Grounding totem will intercept a harmful/negative spell that is cast at you or a party member, this includes direct damage spells as well as dots, debuffs and crowd controls.

If the spell does damage it will destroy the totem in the process, if not it will activate a cooldown (~8 seconds from memory) during which time the totem is effectively inactive, after this time the process starts over.



Tremor totem DOES NOT protect against fear, it removes it. The totem does a pulse every 3 seconds and will remove fear charm and polymorph effects on party members in it's radius at that time.
It does not stop those effects from being placed on the party member in the first place (grounding totem will do that if it is a targeted effect but not if it is AoE).
