Pre Kara healing gear?Follow

Check out Page 2 of the FAQ, it has good healing goals for you for kara.

In terms of specific gear, Mask of Penance from SV is a good head piece to go for, Breastplate of Many Graces in SLabs is another, the healing hammer that drops in SH or Mech, either works.

For Kara as a healer you need +1000 healing, though the closer to +1100 the better. This number is quite easy to attain, however a lot of people do it at the expense of all their other important healing stats. +1000 healing with 8% spell crit = phail.

I recommend running 5 mans and building a healing set. Cloth, mail, leather whatever has +heal, spell crit and mp5. I also recommend having the mats to bridge the gap with enchants and inscriptions.

I know, I know "but bodhi I am going to replace this gear so why should I enchant it???". Why? Because this is when it is most important. When you are undergeared.

You can do that if you enjoy BGs, some people dont.

I got all my healing gear outside of BGs, had one piece of Heroic gear. I got quite a few from rep rewards (Ring from Thrallmar/Honor Hold, Trinket from Sha'tar, other trinket from Lower Ciry).

With my current healing gear with enchants I had about 17% holy crit, 84mp5 and 1100 healing.

I had a take what you can get, run everything and try to get revered approach. I'd recommend.

For the rest take whatever you can get. If you have to lose 20 healing to get 1% spell crit, get the spell crit as long as you stay over 1k heals. Spell crit is where your crazy mana efficiency comes from. You can get epic mace off Sha'tar rep or get the epic bracers crafted or start sporting an entire whitemend boe epic set if you want. But really full set of dungeon blues with the right enchants and consumable use will leave you more than ready to heal kara.

Well I doubt I'm going to log out in my healing gear any time soon so... I dont know if I can help you there Austin, more people probably look at me for my tanking gear anyway (excuse the greens pls... STILL haven't found good replacements, and don't tell me where they are, I know where they are, just haven't gotten them to drop yet).
