never going back to dual-wieldFollow

Me and my friend just hit the 39 bracket. I figured we'd camp it out for a while, since these are fun toons anyway (who needs to level fast) and I could get a lot of nice blues for when I hit 40. BG's are a great way to get plate gear at this level, no? Anyway...I figured since I'd spend most of my time tanking after we're done I'd just get an ardent custodian, because it's purple. And then I decided to use the coldrage dagger as my OH weapon, mainly because I happened to have one. So there I am with a shiny 39 blue and 38 purple and I go to the BG's. Well, I'm moderately well geared, and I end up usually being about the middle of the team as far as KB's and damage go. If enemy healers were present I would end up doing almost nothing to my target (unless I hit the healer), and overall I just wasnt owning like I knew I should...

So I respecced from 0/30/0 to 0/30/0, grabbing a level 37 green 2H axe, mainly for the "of the monkey" and the 3.7 attack speed. My respec encompassed a switch from imp execute to imp slam. Now I see huge damage spikes, I drop the enemy even if healers are present, and I find rushing into a group of enemies means killing at least one. I also usually top my team on KB's. Not to mention I only did 2 AB's after the change, and we won both of them...as alliance. So, I think DW is behind me, at least as far as warriors go.

Well, all I plan on doing on my warrior is PvP and tanking. I got alts to DPS with.

Ok, so you are saying that you won't go back to DW....a PvE Spec....because Arms, which is more of a PvP spec, is doing better damage in PvP?

You do realise Dw is for sustained damage and arms is made for high burst damage?

If you base your judgement from PvP you'll miss out on a lot of fun later down the track

absolutely. i giggle uncontrollably whenever i happen to pvp against a dw warrior, their little hits plink harmlessly against my armor and my healer heals right through them.

if you've ever seen videos of Swifty pvping though, it seems that the guy figured out every way possible to avoid/dispel cc long enough to make dw damage effective in pvp.
