anyone have one? i'm thinking of creating one to spam with Judgement. when HS is on CD it will allow Judgement to cast, vice versa. does this make sense?

i have a problem keeping HS active 100%.

Set it to your 1 key and just mash it over and over and over.

The only Holy Shield macro I use is to make sure I have Libram of Repentance equipped while Holy Shield is active. As far as what you're looking for, no idea how to do that, but what I have is my Holy Shield and Judgement spells very close together. That way I can keep an eye on the CDs of both at a glance.

That is exactly what I do, you also don't really need to spam your judgement unless you are fighting a boss where mana isn't an issue (usually). Spamming your judgement on trash pulls is unnecessary and will get your group mad as you have to drink after every fight.

boss fights are usually when HS becomes most important. with all the commotion(watching health, threat, CDs, mana) its easy to miss out on a HS for a few secs. i supposed i could practice mashing though lol

Provided your box supports it performance-wise, you could try out an add-on called OmniCC, which zooms out abilities as they become ready for recast. The reason I mention performance is that I've found this to add another layer of lag on my old box.

Alternatively, use a combat text scroller like Mik's Scrolling Combat Text or Parrot (both found on WowAce, I'm partial to Parrot myself), which displays a message whenever an ability on cooldown is ready for recast. If you want even more control, both add-ons allow you to create custom events with specific display rules, you could take advantage of that.

In parrot for instance you would create a new display area, locate it close to whatever part of the screen you look at most often (your health bar for instance, or Omen / KTM), create a new trigger for HS cooldown, put the display to a big font and thus have a big flashing visual display whenever you need to mash HS again.

Just get used to mashing. You should always be hitting HS, even after you just cast it. At most HS will be down for as long as the global cooldown if you aren't paying attention to your CDs.

Having said that, I wait until HS goes through, then get in all my other spells like Judgement, Consecration, etc.. (Still mashing HS the whole time) then all the stuff is on cooldown until the next time I hit HS.

I do the same thing, except constantly mashing Holy Shield at all times. Since the cooldowns are different, sometimes I see Judgement, Consecration, and Holy Shield coming up at the same time so I don't use any of them till I can re-cast Holy Shield, then go to Judgement, then Consecration. Always want to get that Holy Shield off first however possible.

I'm afraid if I stop mashing I will forget to reapply. CapJack's memory FTL

Now, Jack, what did you mean by that? (yay, got one in!)

I just have my 3 mostly used buttons right in a row: Judge, SoR, and HS. I hit them in order, the cooldowns for SoR and HS are the same, so as soon as I pop my judge, then re-seal, my HS CD is up and I pop that. Over and over and over again.

You mean the CD for Judgement and Holy Shield right? SoR has no CD except the global CD :)

Just an early warning, with the changes tied to /stopcasting in patch 2.3, there can be a heavy penalty to button-mashing, especially on slower connections.

The way the change is planned at the moment means that when you hit HS too early, the client will start the GCD immediately, then check with the server whether the cooldown for HS is over, and if it's not, cancel the already running GCD when the notification comes back. So mashing will keep your client on the GCD until either the spell casts or you stop mashing and the server sends a GCD cancel signal back.

The consequence: if you suddenly need a BoP or a RD for a party member in need, you may well be under the mash-induced GCD.

Well then I guess I'll just have to adapt. Evolution is the key to success!

seeing as im so used to FPS controlls, i set A and D to strafe and use mouse look.

this opens up Q for my taunt macro, and E fore my Holy Shield.
i also set up X for my consicrate and C for my Hammer of Wrath (slide charactor screen button over to V)

i hate clicking on powers with the mouse in any game i play, because i have to stop focusing on whats at hand. this way i can spam the things i need and still pay attention to the fight.

(on another note, ive got my forward mouse button to Pet attack, and back button to pet follow for my hunter . . i really hate clicking)

if this game would let me i would simply lock camara look but meh.
