So i finally got my warrior to lvl 60 & my question is this: would it be best for me to just play the heck out of AV on my warrior while he melts faces and build up lots of honor then continue leveling? or just level him to 70 and then worry about honor?
i thought being 60 put you at the bottom of the bracket? excuse my ignorance, i haven't started pvping considerably til recently when i realized how good (and necessary) arena gear is.
sure, why not. build up all that honor, but i would save up til you have enough honor to get all the level 70 pieces you want, including the old arena gear that will soon be available for purchase with honor points (iirc, this is what my guild's BG/PVP warlord told me).

For the battlegrounds Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, and Eye of the Storm, the levels for each tier are x0-x9 , and then 70 (example: 60-69 and then 70)
However, for Alterac Valley, the levels are 51-60 and 61 - 70
To answer your question, it all depends how fast you plan on leveling to 70. From 60-70 can take a while if you do not play too often, and so you will not have the chance to "melt face" in battlegrounds for a while.
However if you think you will reach 68+ (when you can start melting face again), you might want to just levl your character and then do BGs

You really have to look at this.
In the outlands, you can easily level in ~5/6 hours a level until 68... then it takes you about 8-10 hours (provided you're not really racing, then it can ALL be done in about 30 hours... or, 3 hours / level, like that chinese guy)
AV'ing for honor will take you probably a week to get the HWL gear if you play 5+ hours a day, and that's a pretty high estimation.
Go for leveling, you'll get it done faster... although a little less effectively overall.

lol just read some of the replys on there pretty funny yeah this is only forms i really read so i've never seen that before thanks for pointing it out.
To get things right.. AB + WSG is 60-69, AV is 51-60 61-70, EOTS 61-70
My recomendation would be to lvl the toon up nonstop and go the BG's ONLY when you are "bored" of PvE. Believe me the only face melted in the BG's will be yours exept when you are lvl70 with big a$$ weapon.

If you're alliance - wait until you're lvl 70 and then run Alterac for honor. We (alliance) have a 75%+ win rate. I've found that as a lock at lvl 69, you can either get 300 kills and 2000 honor in warsong, or 35 kills and 6000 honor in alterac. I've also found that as a 59 warrior, alliance still sucks at bg.
I would suggest farming alterac at 60 (as I am planning on, after I get enough arathi tokens) so that when you turn 70, you'll have enough honor to buy a few essentials (medallion over insignia ftw).
For most of the good pvp items you'll need to do arena... *shrugs*
