Welcome to me a year ago.

Now spend another half a year to a year getting your gear up to par with most other people's, lol.

Let me know when you're 3/4's epics and over 1k +spelldamage and over 10k health. Then we can talk.

Lol, grats on 70. What spec are you btw? I absolutely LOVED Affliction for both PvE and PvP as Warlock, but I ended up going Drakedog spec before I quit just to mess around with PvP, and I KNOW you know who Drakedog is. >.>

I demand(request*) an admin, preferably our own Imperial Ninja, move this to the warlock forums(can he do that-I know certain admins have more or less power than others...like only certain ones can change names)

Not because I hate relish, but because it'd be hilarious <3

That is my Armory specs... i am demonology, i am thinking about respecing to affliction just to be somewhat accepted into raiding guilds.

Dont mind that guild name, i got kicked from it yesterday, since i asked the Warlock officer if i could take my friends spot in the raid, he looked at my gear say i was WAY undergeared for it, and gave me lip about it.

What is a normal beaner reaction to this?...

i told him off, to the brink of wanting to cut himself, and since he has a bit of power... he booted me lol... all this could have been avoided had he just said, "No" or "learn about the raid first and then we will talk"... he had to give me lip lol

Not horrible gear for just ding'ing 70, really, not too shabby.

Yeah, spec could definitely be better for raiding. I was always 44/0/17 and I topped charts even over people who had me outgeared by a long shot, on a regular basis. First Kara run I ever did with my guild (Who had it on farm months before I even joined....) I was like floating between 2-3rd on damage charts all night, and first time I ever did Gruul's lair and topped charts on both High King and Gruul himself.

Just the mechanics behind affliction are perfect for raiding. For encounters you have to be moving around, your dots are still ticking while you're having to move, allowing you to be doing more damage than everyone else and also, dots pull less hate than direct damage spells, and even moreso, dots get a higher coefficient for how much +spelldamage gear ups their damage. 44/0/17 is also a fine PvP spec, yeah you won't have Demonic Embrace or whatever the health+ talent in demo is, so unless you have a lot of health as-is it's not THAT great a spec for pvp, but just for the occasional pvp and battlegrounds, it works just fine. I'd highly reccomend 44/0/17 for ya, and if you'd like me to work up a little template for ya I can.

There you go bud, that's the spec I topped charts with in raids, and still tore up in bg's and low ranked arenas.

There's a couple questionable talents there, that some people might not like, but like I said, that's what I used. For raids, there was always at least one other warlock up in our 10mans with me, and in 25mans there'd by at least 2 other warlocks besides myself. So I usually had other locks handling Curse of Shadows and Curse of Elements for the raid...so I always got to used Curse of Agony, hence my having the points in for that. And yeah, Curse of Exhaustion is just a PvP talent, doesn't do anything in PvE. Some people will tell you to take points out of Improved Curse of Agony, and Curse of Exhaustion, and get 3/3 Malediction to improve your Curse of Shadows and Curse of Elements for your raid, but eh...Like I said, I never had to do that.

Also, some people will say you don't *need* the Grim Reach and Destructive Reach 10% range+ talents, but I personally really really liked them. On Gruuls for example lets me stand waaaaaaaaay to the north of the room, in that little mini cave area and still be close enough to do damage, while completely avoiding cave-ins and shatters from Gruul.

So yeah, have fun with that one, if you decide to spec that way, you'll be a damage machine.

Btw...you seriously know who Drakedog is, right? Lol, if not, go download Drakedog 7 from warcraftmovies...You'll never regret it, and then you'll never say "meh" at a Destruction Warlock ever again, lol. He's the guy that made me spec Destruction for PvP for a bit before I quit, and if you play like he does, it really is a blast.

i'll have to check it out later.

Only reason i tend to only like Aff/Demo is that it reaps lots of benefits, and i truly think that putting 41/20 or 20/41 should be enough for a lock... even though in Affliction Fel concetration is pretty damn good in the sense that it will take a truck to basically interrupt you.

tbh with ya, i havent even set foot into Kara... i am gettin attuned just need the 3rd key and a few instances to actually get keyed for it.

Here is how i was thinking my 41/20 to look like...

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IiMriRfzqtboZxx0pM

Maybe after i put the 41 into affliction, i am still working on a comfortable "sub" per say, but i really think like demo, affliction only needs 41 points and the way i specced it should be for max dps either in pvp/pve... but one thing i have learned is that no one will be specced the same way at all times, these are just ideas that we throwing out there from one lock to another

Personally I would have put a point into Shadow Embrace so you can get the extra affliction effect for Soul Siphon.
