Take a look at my armory. My gear is pretty much crap What are a few lower end level 70 instances that I can do to get some pretty good gear so I can work my way up? Thanks in advance.

I'd say run steamvaults so you can get parts for the beastlord set, 2 pieces drop off the last boss. If steamvaults is too hard, i'd go for shattered halls, gloves drop off last guy. If you want a fairly easy, but nice leg drop, go into old hillsbrad. Some nice pants drop off one of the first few bosses i believe.

Also, i'd either buy http://wowhead.com/?item=31291 for fairly cheap, or drop murrmur (sp?), last boss in shadow labs, to get http://wowhead.com/?item=27903, or do a quest in the same instance area (can't rememeber what it's called) to get http://wowhead.com/?item=29329.
For a BM, i'd go with the axe first, easy to get, and better for BM then the quill. Sonic spear may be a bit tough for you to get at your current gear level.

And you can get a fairly cheap bow off of the AH (can't remember what it's called, but it's a blue 70, only one i've seen on AH, and it's there all time).

Getting the bow and the melee wep should help you do some quests (Netherstorm and Shadowmoon have good and fairly easy to get rewards), so you can get some better rewards to help make the instance runs a bit easier.

I personally still have a bit of this to do myself, but i have so little time playing on WoW i usually devote most of my time on my twink, but most of this stuff is pretty easy to accomplish.

Shattered Halls is way up there as one of the most difficult non-heroic level 70 5-man instances. Steamvaults is the easiest. Shadow Labs falls in between the two. The largest pull in Steamvaults (not counting elementals and non-elites) is 4. The largest pull in Shattered Halls is 5 elites, with 2 non-elites in the crowd and the potential for summoned adds if you don't drop the Legionnaire fast enough. If we're talking about someone fresh to 70 with so-so quested gear, Shattered Halls would not be classified the place to go if Steamvaults is too difficult.

I would recommend against buying blues unless you're floating in gold. I have a few purchased pieces on my toon atm, but the overwhelming majority of my gear is from dungeons. You can also PvP for some very, very nice epic pieces that will also work quite well for you in a PvE setting, and it really doesn't take as much time as you'd think. Swing by your BG PvP vendors and find the one with the epic level 70 armor and take a look. It's a nice break from the grinding/dungeon scene every once in a while.

I actually AGREE with AureliusSir on this for the most part. SV always seemed harder to me, maybe just the groups i was in, i really have no clue, only really ran SH once to get the gloves and they dropped for me first run, of course i seemed to have a really pro group.

Sorry, i made the assumption about the axe and bow based off the server i'm on, they are really cheap there, due to at least the bow being looted from the chest in TK that rogues like to exploit for quick cash. Anywho, he makes a very good point about the pvp items. Lots of the gear is really good for PVE with the boost to AP, and seeing as youre a BM hunter, that is you're best friend in terms of stats.

don't limit yourself to instance loot. I would advise that you check out some of the quests in shadowmoon particularly. I know there is a really nice ring that is easy to obtain. you can get your second sight helm and there is also a quest with good mail gloves/leather boots. everyone takes the gloves though if you resist he impulse and take the leather boots while working for the beastlord gloves you will be better served in my oppinion. There are also alot of good items to be gained through rep. Ogri'la will get you an awesome bracer at exalted. upgrade both weapons with honor hold or thrallmar at revered and exalted. sha'tar and mag'har (sp?) both have a good item I think at revered.

I am too A.D.D to sit and look all these up for you but there's an idea. What I did at your level was to go through all slots using thottbot and putting in the min stats I was interested in. say search all boots with 20 AP and up for example and then make a wish list from there.

I humbly direct you to the single greatest (what? don't look at me like that!) post for Hunters for Gear questions.....

Pre Raid Gear, tips and tricks.

Also you should lose the Dual Wield and run Shadow Labs until Murmur drops the Sonic Spear for you. Then Enchant it with either +35 Agility or Savagery.

thank you ^^

Good gear outside of instances are the headpiece from the questline in SMV and there are a bunch of rings (aldor rep ring for example) and a couple of good BoE pieces that arent expensive (valanos bow, crystalforged waraxe, felstalker bracers) especially the bracers are good because there arent much better ones.
The axe can be topped by either the Thrallmar/HH rep polearm or sonic spear and the bow can be topped by the SH bow i think.
