No you were just doing what you had to do to win. The guy who called you a sissy, I would put him in that catorgory of you cant fear in a duel that is cheating. You cant heal in a duel that is cheating to. You should just shrug it off. Your played your class the right way and he couldn't deal with it.

It reminds me of the time I had a level 10 warlock and duel a 15 warrior. I beat him using fears, and he said that fearing was cheating. He was like fight me without using fear, so I did and I won. He got all upset about that, and started swearing.

Yeah ok, whetever makes you happy :)

Your just upset cause my Spec pwns all, and your too afraid you'll bet bashed by the Hunter Community if you go "Old School", though the damage would definetly speak for itself :)

I will have to say on my Ele Shammy I have had quite a bit of difficulty staying on top of a BM hunter in my guild, but I have been able too, I just have to pop my trinkets whenever they are up even for trash pulls >.<

Who were you dueling? What class? I'll bet it was a melee class (rogue, warrior, paladin, etc.). Some players get upset when a ranged class won't let sit still and let themselves get beat on. Some folks don't get that different classes fight in different ways, and get upset when you don't play by their rules. Mages get yelled at for Polymorph/Frost Nova, Warlocks get yelled at for using Fear and DoTs, Rogues get yelled at for stealthing and stunlocking... Use the tools and techniques that work for you.

What you were doing is called a "jump shot". It's an excellent technique for kiting melee classes in PvP, and is useful to kite elite mobs that you couldn't kill in a straight fight.

Whoever called you a sissy was just a poor loser.

ya know I dropped BM a while back though. I've been SV for a month or so. Still beating the BM hunters in the guild though I really shouldn't be.

wait...what are we talking about again?

we sure seem to derail threads lately. They all end up in a BM/MM/SV discussion eventually.

This story reminds me of something that happened to me awhile ago. I was helping a friend quest is STV when I noticed that someone was bashing hunters and was calling it the most cowardly class. He complained that all hunters ever do is run away from him. Well, naturally, I shift-clicked his name to see what class he was. I was surprised to see that he was a rogue. When I pointed out that hiding and waiting for to fight until your opponent was not expecting you was more "cowardly" than kiting someone to death, he replyed that it was a game mechanic. Needless to say, we both got into an argument, and afterwords both of us felt that we we're right and the other person was an idiot. Later, I just laughed off the incident.

And no, I don't consider a rogue stealthing cowardly in any way, but i was upset that the rogue was bashing hunters.

Seriously congrats, you figured out the Jumpshot all on your own.

At lvl 11 when you really haven't played the class much that is a big deal, some hunters don't even learn to do that till their late lvls when they start using stuff like forums.

Good job, you have one up on other players your lvl now.
