Heh, it's not going to do well in arena.

I will.

There's no premades in 2.3, by the way.

5/5 MoD > combat. 1v1 invis wise. Opener is freekin everything.

You only won't be able to get the opener during duels. Who cares about duel performances?

Edit:

And mongoose, your spec won't cut it on well geared arena opponents I can almost guarantee it. Mutilate has a hard enough time cutting through resilience, Shadowstep is slightly stronger but on a 40 second cooldown. Not to mention it also lacks the CP generation and control. Sure you may be able to out CD someone in your first duel or what not, but in a "best over time" match I'm afraid you'll fall by the way side.

I love mongoose. Every damn post I see him make is some darkhorse build, strat, or opinion. The man doesn't believe a goddamn thing that we accept. Everything can be challenged.

Love it.

As a combat daggers man at heart and in spec, I love the debate that its still viable (perhaps even good?). Nothing would make life more interesting than even partial sub viability.

it might, gonna need a good destro lock to do it... but outside of 2v2 or utility i def agree (although going 16-3-42 will prob be better)

but arena isnt the concept here, this will make things interesting :) all 1v1 fights make for some serious fun... and with prep it has good 1vsN potential

my full combat can recover from a 41-0-20 muti rogue easily, its all about knowing when to trinket, or doing a item trick (oil of immolation <3)

basically a opener can be countered by ghostly strike/riposte if they didnt chain/getting a CD off if they lapse

combat has riposte often, INC disarm change makes daggers lose to combat, for sures, at least 1-1 ratio

me as ar/prep never has to prep in duels, i got a lot of CD control, sure i got em all to use... but i shouldnt hafta burn EVERYTHING in 1 fight unless its a top fighter on my server

but if thats the case, they would too... and arena rules dueling is the way to do it.... if you couldnt cut it when i got it all to use, then it isnt a win in my book..... they made arena CD rules for a reason :)

ar/prep, without dirty deeds, ghostly strike, riposte or hemo? that will not beat me

my build is so anti melee its ridiculous, warrior is the threat, not a ****** mirror match rogue

they ar, i ghostly strike and evasion.... what are they gonna do, shiv me to death every 1.5 seconds? and 1 good riposte gives me time to stunlock thru the AR, no immune = 3 second openings for sure... non dagger doesnt have the burst ar/prep trys to bring to the table

its a good build to use, but thats not the version id be worried about

http://wowhead.com/?talent=fheboxgobZZxMe0MGRoxo

the hell? stunlock hemo... no imp ks? no imp EA? again no ghostly strike

same deal as your ar/prep linked, but even more glaring... our builds do the same thing, except i got more dodge and i can break into stunlock via riposte->gouge

Heh.

Both build have more MoD then yours, one of them even has Heightened Sense.

They'd get the drop on you.

Using Deadly on MH and Crippling on OH, the Deadly proc would be applied, you'd lose the use of Vanish and Restealth.

Yeah, you can evasion twice - but so can both of these build. Yeah, you got Ghostly Strike and Ripotse, but for the most part, you'll still hit like a girl while both those build have equal or even better CB generation and better damage.

Actually, Holy DPS priest are the threat, everything else obliterate you ;p

lies! my build would hit harder then your hemo build, the agi buff should do it.. very least make it neutral ground

and your ar/prep has a weak ss, 1 riposte will cover any lost DPE ss has over hemo

you can COS deadly, or just time the ticks if that becomes very needed

and sure, they might get the jump... but if get back in stealth, i got premed :)

the ar/prep is kinda more of a worry, but in a better form id agree with ya a lil more... stun procs dont scare me :D and the talents you chose dont scare me

like why all that camo? couldnt drop one for ghostly? the hemo could use it cuz it hits like a ss, same cost too

as for your lil comment bout everything else obilerating me, well see is all i gotta say :)

guy imagine all the 1v1 hk's he's going to get. If he hangs outside a town and duels people all day he could get S1 loot in months!!! months I say!

sounds fun, hope it works the 1v1 well. but Arena, raids, EVERYTHING ELSE. It wont cut the mustard.

why do people say cut the mustard?

Sort of off topic, but has to do with it a little. Whats wrong with cheat death? Is it a matter of talents do better in other slots?

i dont like 3 talents to maybe live 2 seconds longer

MAYBE with a healer, but i would never be sub with a healer in 2v2

@odnet: lol but ya... my pvp set as far as arena and s1 gear goes is pretty wicked :) only 1 bg epic and at 237 resil i believe, 10k hp... i dont got much to gain from s1 arena hehe.... and 1v1 + basin = fun

no one ever defends mines with more then 1 guy hehe

argh I wish the character tranfers were working correctly :X

Then we could see what's up... I would probably make a sub dueling spec.
