Very nice video nooble. I like how it can be molded to other classes in how you literally waled unstealthed through the majority of the instance. Fair amount of blues I noticed.

Just two questions:
1. What is the addon you use that makes the screen flash red when you are low on health?

2. How much money could you make if you vendored the loot?

Thanks in advance :)

I'm not nooble, but if you vendored all the loot and did 12 minute runs for 1 hr you would probably get some 70g. I gladly dumped 375 mining for 225 enchanting, and have not regret it one bit. On my overpopulated server (possibly the MOST overpopulated US server) large brilliant shards still go for some 6g, and I usually get around 5 a run, as well as the items that D/E to SBS's, which I simply vendor.

Not sure really. Probably one of the following: XPerl, Deadly Boss Mods or CTRaid.

About half to 1/3 as much I'd guess.

Edit: Just did another run for a High Quality video (found a better recording program). NPCing the stuff will yield only about 10g per run, so the gold/hour rate is pretty poor without enchanting.

You appeared to use distract a few times; wouldn't that cut a Druid from being able to accomplish this?

Distract was used to speed things up a bit. Saves me waiting on pats, and let's me stay out of stealth in certain areas. There's nothing you can't simply stealth past.

I might have to do this on my hunter, the parts you have to stealth through, just run through and then FD when you're clear.

Excellent.

This is adaptable to nearly any class, really. Others will have slightly lower gold/hour rate, as Rogues have the best solo capability in this kind of situation. A mage would be pretty badass, though.

Linked in the main sticky.

Thanks for the video Nooble!

The graphics quality was a bit on the low side, so I couldn't see exactly what you were attacking with . I'm assuming you are muti spec'd, but you were using swords (I heard the sound of sinister strike going off).

Is my assumption correct?

Google killed the quality of the video, sorry. It was very high quality before, you could even read the text in my combat log. Anyway, I'm using a Combat Swords build. You can check my gear and build in my armory profile (link in my signature).

If you felt like it and still had the original, try uploading to stage6.divx.com; much better quality.

GREAT video. When I get high enough to try it I will with a bud in my Guild, he is an Enchanter so we'll just split the profits or something. Or I can level enchanting. Either way.

On another note: I'm glad I'm not the only one that constantly hears:

I don't have enough energy!

:D

Rates!

I'm a Paladin and I wanted to see if I would be able to pull off a somewhat decent gold/hour rate doing this. I quickly found I had to respec Retribution to do it with any kind of speed, as I was prot before, trying it in Ret gear. As I went through I found that there were at least 2 areas that needed to be stealthed through.

The first one being after the second boss who has his dog with him. The group of mobs are directly blocking the exit of the next room which leads onto the bridge. I found a lesser invisibilty potion worked fine there. Some times there is a dog in that group and I have to kill them all, since I have no method of dropping aggro.

The second group is after you lower the bridge and run through the hallway with all the dwarves and a couple fire elementals. I quickly found out that the 10 min cooldown of the lesser invisibilty potions wasnt up in time for me to be able to stealth through this group as well. However, regular invisibility potions don't share the same cooldown, so using a regular invis pot, I was able to get by that group.

I found I was able to somewhat keep up with the pace of the video after doing it again and again, however there is one big hiccup where I cannot keep up, and that's in the Grim Guzzler. A rogue can pickpocket the key and open the door. I can't, and there is no "pickpocket" potion. So I have to waste about a minute and a half buying drinks, turning in the quest, and waiting for the guy to blow open the door which means I can't go do the ghost event. I was killing Phalanx with about 30 seconds to spare as the timer clicked down to 12 minutes.

Anyway, just felt like sharing for anyone who isn't a Rogue and wanted to try this. Just bring both lesser and normal invisibility potions, and some quickness potions if you want a 15 second boost at the beginning of the instance.

I'll have to do that at some point when I dig up wherever I saved the file.

I am, and I was Mutilate specced for a long time. Combat Swords simply outperforms in every area, though. Respecced to Swords about 2 months ago. Was Combat Daggers for a couple months before that.

Strange. Plugger should yell something about his pockets being picked, then Phalanx will shout "Violence, property damage, none shall pass!" or something like that, and become aggressive after moving to the door.

Nice to see some reports on this being adapted to another class as well.

I'm getting the same issue. I pick pocket, run to the door, open, he moves there....and nothing.

Probably a bug. Call a GM when it happens and report it, see if it's a known bug, or if there's some stupid little thing that we've all been taking for granted that's changed in some way.

awesome post, and made even better with a video, i did brd maybe once before TBC so i have no experience there so the video does wonder's.

also just want to point out to those of you that are miner's, i know some of you probably prospect like i do but im sure a lot more just try to sell the ore on AH, depending on your server this could be worth it, but im sure your guild has a few JCer's i make a lot more gold from having ore prospected then selling on AH, but sadly sometimes you dont get lucky with a blue gem, other time's you give over 3stacks of ore and get back 6blue gems which could be cut and sold or left in stone form and sold. i make between 30-50g per gem.

Prospecting is a whole different beast. That's how I make most of my money these days. I buy about 250-300g in ore at a time to be safe (smaller amounts can be dangerous if you get unlucky and get no gems).
