Just wondering if anyone knows exactly what on arcane missiles procs arcane concentration. Is it the cast (meaning I should get a free cast every 10 times) or is it the hit (meaning I should get a free cast every 2 times)?

I'm pretty sure only on the initial hit (therefore being a cast) can Arcane Concentration procs. So you still should get a free cast every 10 times, not 2.

Furthermore, at low levels, you don't have 5 missiles shot off, I believe?

It goes up pretty quick. I think rank 3 has 5 missiles.

Yeah, that's about right, now that I think of it.
So, uh, in conclusion, Arcane Missiles only casts on the initial cast, not the following volleys within the channeling.

We were discussing this last week. There used to be a bug, apparently, where it could proc on each missile, but they've fixed it.

My little bit of testing confirms that it only procced on the initial cast.

Arcane Concentration lies to you: it says every time a spell damages an opponent. It only worked this way for the Beta when people realized it was retardedly OP for grinding. Perhaps it was reset this way by accident or through a glitch more recently, but it has been fixed and it was unbeknownst to me.

It now goes off on the initial cast (with a tiny delay, at the same time the mana is taken) once and that is it.

There are certain techs and items, however, that DO have chances/effects on each hit or each critical strike of AM.

And yes, Rank 1 is 3 missile launches, Rank 2 is 4 missile launches, and Rank 3 is 5 missile launches. After that they are all 5 missile launches. The amount of launches does not play into Arcane Concentration, however.

To answer your next question, on AEs such as Arcane Explosion and Flamestrike, the chance to AC comes as the spell hits the target but it is only x1 chance no matter how many you hit. Blizzard works similarly to Arcane Missiles. All projectile spells go into effect when the ball reaches their targets.

For the record, Arcane Concetration is still a very good spell.

Indeed, and that's what's giving AM such power right now as a raid spell. The ability to proc TLC on each 3 crits of a spell that effectively hits once every second or the possible proccing of a MSD off of each hit makes it quite a powerful spell.

- Mystical Skyfire Diamond: A cooldown has been added to this item’s
effect, but the chance for it to trigger has been increased.

It has arrived MSD now ALSO has a internal cooldown. I am sad.... maybe I will switch to the new skyfire meta which increase spell crit and gives more crit damage.

The only reason why I am sticking with MSD currently is because its effect is able to proc back-to-back. Without back to back procs, MSD will be as bad as it was when its effect duration was a measly 4 seconds.

A new skyfire meta gem recipe can be obtained from the Coilskar Siren
of Shadowmoon Valley. This new meta gem increases critical strike
rating and critical strike damage with spells.

Dunno what its gonna be called, so heaven help me

Nice, we will use skill to up our dps. Not so nice for MSD+LC+AM spam, I had loads of fun unloading AM into mobs and people when the stuff procs. Arcane spec will return to their AB spamming ways instead.
