I'm a l21 hunter who was trying to learn new abilities for my pet several levels ago. However, it seems that my ability to stable the pet is corrupted.
- I've got 1 purchased slot in the stables, and there seems to be an L11 boar & L10 bear that I dismissed over a week ago.
- 3 days ago, i revived my old pet and it came back as a different creature (initially it was a wolf, after revival it was a much lower leveled spider).
- When I dismiss my current pet and try to pull the boar out of the stable, nothing happens.
What should I do? I'm currently thinking raising the 5 gold for the 2nd stable slot will not help, because there is already a bear in said slot.

Send a ticket to a GM, they will need to fix it. The problem you came across is that you were dismissing pets to train new ones and not abandoning the pets. So technically you still had the dismissed pets, they just weren't at your side.
The GM will delete the pets you don't want and let you keep the one you do want.
Next time make sure you right click your pets face plate and select the Abandon button, rather than using the dismiss button.

Has it just been so long since I leveled that I don't remember having to buy a stable spot or is this something new?

It must have been that long, the 1st spot is free, the second slot is 5g.

Is it? I’ve had to pay for the first stable slot for all my hunters. It wasn’t much, like 5 or 10 silver, but I’ve never gotten a free stable slot. My newest hunters are all low level and have only one pet, so maybe that's changed since last I needed a new stable slot.

Hmm maybe it's been to long for me(not likely just really really bad memory), I know the 2nd slot is 5g, maybe the 1st is just a few silver, some minute ammount that I never really paid much attention.
