I was wondering if someone could suggest for me, what i should do.
Currently at 170, my rogue trainer tells me to go the Fortress in The Badlands, but all the boxes i pp of the guys in there are all grey to me now.
So i should be going somewhere else but i have no idea.

you can level well over 200 in angor fortress. Look for the dented footlockers both upstairs and down - they spawn all over the place. pickpocketing for junkboxes is not based on area but mob level, higher mob = higher junkboxes.
Talk to your rogue trainer.
I didn't start raising my LP till I was 70 (I know, I'm an idiot). I got 100-350 in around 5 hrs played time.
If you ever get behind, and you're really just too lazy to look up a good location, you can try to find humanoid mobs of appropriate level to pick pocket from.
So to get appropriate lockboxes for 170 lockpicking, pick pocket them from level 34 mobs.

There's a spurt from each pickpoketed boxes to the next. Usually when the one you just pickpoketed turns green, it means it's time to go the next one up the line. (ie the one roughly 10 levels higher) I never really had problems with leveling lockpick. I just rob every humanoid, slime and undead mob I come across before I kill them and loot their corpse. ... ^_^.
