How do you guys farn strat?Follow
Cause i've just died twice. ******* rats that hit like thousands of trucks... What path am i supposed to take, etc? If theres a sticky to this, point me towards it.
It's spelled farm. And I have no idea why you would want to do it anyway, much better $$ found elsewhere.
Heard about someone doing it, wanted to try it. Have Decided: it's not for me. Back to farming primals.
There's virtually no gold in Strat. People who say there is don't know what they're talking about. You can get more LBSes from BRD, and the orbs don't drop for ****. Stealth detectors make for a slow run, and it will be 3-4 minutes before you get to anything you actually want to kill.
BRD speed runs are the best way to make money as a Rogue enchanter if your server can handle the influx of shards.

Ive done the event a few times trying for the mount but no luck. I don't know anyone else with it either. Just doing daily quests will net more gold then strat.

I seriously doubt it will beat BRD for cash. While I was Mutilate specced (worst spec for farming unstunnable bosses), I was able to get 6 shards in a 12 minute run. This worked out perfectly to never hit the instance cap, so I got about 30 shards per hour. On most servers, this is about 300g / hour. I just don't see how Strat can touch that. You'll spend more time to kill fewer bosses, with the off chance of getting an orb. I've actually never seen an orb off the bosses, I end up killing the trash when I'm farming it up for an alt.
we arent all enchanting, scholo would be the best in that situation

im talking straight ah/vendor cash
which strat might even hit 300g an hour anyways if i get lucky, cuz orbs are 25g a pop on my server... and i average 2 a run
and orbs only drop off 2 bosses i actually kill, and arcivist drops one about 40% of the time meebee

If you're only killing bosses, there's no way you can average 2 per run. If you're killing trash, well, I can see two per run, but that's a huge time sink. I'll be very interested to see how you pull it off.
As for scholo being the best for shards, it really isn't. Way too much trash to clear. In BRD, I kill nothing but bosses. I start off with Bael'gar, then kill Incendius, then that dude in the chest room with his puppy, take 30 seconds to whack Lorgraine for a shot at the fiery formula, run into the bar and kill Phalanx, head over the the summoner's tomb and kill Panzer on the way (if he's up), and finish up with the summoner's tomb event. That's essentially 8 bosses, 5 of which are guaranteed a LBS, the others have a decent chance, plus the shot at an extra one from the rare guy.

trash i clear is all the outside mobs, since you need to to spawn timmy.... theres a 3-4 pull by the inside locked door i kill, and maybe 1-2 more pulls.... not a lot but its fast to kill (bring the weapon chain, saves a ton of time on live side)
scholo... what trash? at those bosses in the end? you can BF most the mobs down... and the ones you cant are like a 4 mob room.... i can see your point about brd, but that walking around in there is a lil long for me =\ i tend to get a smidgen lost in brd haha

I'm with you on BRD, Fiery sells for 45g still on my server, a run to get it takes about 4 minutes. Just farming that and vendoring other boss drops is good money (even better if you have Relic Coffer Keys).

You can actually bypass that. Kill the final boss and the undead invade, which will spawn Timmy for you (I think, happened to me last time I was in there).

It's about 5-10 minutes worth, which is nearly an entire BRD run for me. Speed is the name of the game. Every time I do BRD I put a timer up so I can compare how I'm doing to my average, and see how doing things differently changes my time spent in there. 3.5 minute sprint helps a lot in here, you can use it 3-4 times per run (use it every time it's up as long as you'll get the full 15 seconds before you hit a boss).

Heh, I know how you feel. I don't know my way around there for sh*t, but I do know my run extremely well. I know what pats come when, when I need distract, and what I can get through out of stealth (most of the instance, actually). I may fraps a run and post it with your Strat video.

What lvl enchanting do you have to have to D/E **** in BRD?

Mining will be more money than farming instances, really. Enchanting is a ***** to level, and there is almost no money in it these days.
