My little 2v2 team has more trouble with pally/frost mage than we do with pally/melee dps these days. Between iceblock, Blessing of Protection, and bubble, opponents have to constantly switch their focus of attack. Your opponents' communication has to be spot-on. Nothing I hate worse than going in for the killing blow (I'm a 3min mage) only to have my AP/POM/Pyro smack harmlessly into an iceblock.

Get a warlock, they can get 2.5k rating solo, let alone what they can do with a mage in the group to cc the only two classes that can beat them.

LoL, someones actually managed to get in some lock bashing before me in this thread. The above advice is good, if you want to excel in any area of the game, reroll to a lock immediately.

go mage-pally or mage-rogue... both really good. And don't roll a lock unless all you wanna do is go to STV and gank people then come here and talk about how badass you are.

I'm with a fellow frostie atm, and i have to say two frosties works out great.
This Saturday we won 14 of the 17 matches, against all different combinations. Even had a team of two locks against us, and i believed the second lock got 1 fear of. The other one was shattered by us two and a double mr. waterelemental before he could even say deathcoil.

And besides, think about it: u both have shatter and cold snap. So that's basicly: 4 water elementals per fight (which does a lot of dmg, dont underestimate that) and with the cold snap 8 frost novas which u can shatter on. When played right opponents can't even move.
