Um...Wow. At level 54 I have more dps, slightly less attack power, and a solid 70 points of a agility more than they do.

I am really just astounded that they made it to 70. I have seen some pretty pathetic Hunters but that is horrid.

I personally helped those guys from pity, even they didn't wanted too.
If your a GM and you can take a boss -1 one class (that hunter), I would take him to improve his loot, yes i know that's NOT the way things go, but guilds are about helping each other.

I am shocked, but is not the end of all things to come for sure :).

I assume you're a proponent of the No Child Left Behind act as well?

You know what you get when you try to help someone like these guys? You get nothing but hate back more often than not. It is their money and they obviously feel that they are using it wisely so all they'll do is either outright tell you to **** off or pretend to care and then resent you for presuming to know more about their class than they do. After all they played it to 70 just like you right?

I'm not justifying their stupidity, merely acknowledging that there isn't a cure. The only thing that could possibly make it worse is if I had to take time out of my gameplay to try fixing someone who more than likely doesn't want to be fixed in the first place.

Now if I think better, it can be true, sad but true, your describe is reflecting the generic type of "im l337" n00b.
But if he's just an grown up newbie there is still hope.

Norellicus irony ftw doesn't it? :D

NEVER, NO F*CKING WAY!
Giving people free epics will never ever help them.
They need to go into lvl 70 instances, learn to play and get decent gear.
then they can go to raids and earn their shiny purple pixels.
That way, that person is helped a lot more then by giving him free epics and leaving him clueless.

Plus, raids arent about 10-20 good people dragging a 40 man raid along.
In Raids now you need every person unless you are so overgeared its insane.
And if you are so overgeared, there shouldnt be someone in greens in your guild.
(or at least no main character) Let alone someone who obviously hasnt got a single f*cking clue what he is doing.

First off, your sentence doesn't make sense.

But if we assume you're trying to say "I know, ironic isn't it?" then no, it isn't. Learn the definition and usage of irony plz.

Giving the disadvantaged a leg up and neglecting the ones who excel only serves to bring down the average, not raise the standard.

Our guild is now attempting to get new members attuned to Kara (was a leveling guild but since we have a lot of casual 70 players, why not have some casual raids) and we've given people a basic outline for gear.

If people can't be bothered to make the effort to gear up properly for raids, then they don't come and someone who has made the effort is given priority.

However, I played on a server a while ago and there was a guild full of hardcore raiders. They basically power-leveled to 60 in a week or two and started raiding ZG. Some of the members even raided in some greens but they still managed to progress further than other guilds (most were still attempting to get enough members). I think they rerolled on new servers ever 6 months or something to try and beat their records. Quite cool I guess, but I couldn't face ANOTHER grind to 60 so soon
