This skill is supposed to generate 25 focus for my pet with every critical ranged attack (one point spent). It seems to be working about 1 in 5 crits, maybe less.

Anyone else having this issue?

Chances are your pets using it as soon as it regens.

What I mean is that as it ticks for 25 your pets used a skill thats 25 at almost the same time so you don't actually see the focus bar move.

This has happened to me aswell and I always chalked it up to the fact I play on about 500 - 600 ping

Look in your combat log. That will tell you (and give it about 1/2 a second or so). Fight something about 15 levels below you and see how many crits you get and count the number of times it says "<Pet> has gained 25 focus from GFTT" and see if there really is an issue. If you keep up with the 1/5 ratio, contact a GM.

It should say <pet> gained 25(/50) focus right after it says <shot> crits <mob> for <damage>

There's a short delay between the time your crit lands and the time your pet is given the Focus boost. If your pet has a 25+ focus ability ready for use, it will likely use it as soon as it gets the Focus. I noticed the same thing after I respecced and was counting on the Focus from crits to keep my pet going, but after a while I got used to it and was convinced that "everything is working as intended."

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

I will do some testing when the servers come back up and report back if there is an issue.

I think you can turn on focus/energy gains in the Blizzard default Scrolling Combat Text. If not, you can download the SCT addon that has it. I would think all the focus gains would get annoying, but if you're trying to prove to yourself it works, you'd at least see it somewhat in real time.

The combat log says it's working. My pet must use it as soon as it's available though :)
