Changing Form SkinsFollow

#1 Oct 08 2007 at 12:51 PM Rating: Default
so i've seen in some recent videos druids that swaped skins for cat and/or bear, and im looking to try it out as ive been playing a druid forever and im tired of looking at the same retarded cat that i have been sicne level 20.

Anyways, i did some research and all of the info i could find involved programs that havnt been updated for a year, or were dated sometime in 2006, etc... apparently, blizzard has changed how skin swapping is done and i can't find an up to date guide on how to do it currently.

if anyone knows how to do this, if you could give me a detailed description i would greatly appreciate it. Some recent videos that do this are The Fat Cow and Unleashed, search for em on warcraftmovies.com if ur interested.

id like to use the brown windego like in fat cow for my catform.

any help would be appreciated.

Good luck finding anything, as changing your skins is now breaking the TOS and banable, which is why all you can find is old stuff.

How would they know if the purely cosmetic change is client-side?

it's easy to do once you have the right programs.

google mywarcraftstudio and something else, I forget. I recommend looking at mmowned.com, changing the way my equipment looks is quite the awesome.

I don't know, but it wouldn't be too hard just while playing to do a check of all of your game files to see if they match up with what you should have.

Why would they do that if it doesn't give you any upper hand in an unfair way what so ever?

they did it because it can give an advantage. for example make alliance races look like ragnaros and you would have a clear advantage in pvp being able to see them round corners, over building etc.

thats just one example. i'm sure there are others.

also, i'm sure that the gatekeeper (or whatever its called) could easily check the consistency of the files to see if they have been altered.
