After much reading, a question on rotations...Follow

As the title states, I am fairly new to the shadowy world of the rogue. As a long-time hunter, I'm somewhat caught up in shot (or slice, as it were) rotations and what is efficient for leveling.

I've read the sticky, and especially Nooblestick's Lowbie Rogue guide (thanks for that, by the way--it's been a life-saver). In the guide, I saw mention of a thread that might get started as far as rotations but have been unable to locate such a thread.

I've picked up pieces here and there and, as advised have gone with a combat swords build (currently just dinged 30). I've read a few things... and need clarification.

Some say CS>SS>SS>KS>SS>SS etc until dead...

Others seem to be saying SS>SS>SnD>SS>...>SS>evisc.

I've also been using rupture just to try it out... tried opening both with garrotte and with CS. I can't seem to discern which is more efficient as both (to my relatively inexperienced rogue eyes) seem about the same. I just got blade flurry, which I have yet to try out... so I'm interested to see how that switches things up.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

mainly rotations only become a huge concern in level 70 boss fights

i guess

garrote or cs, your choice -> slice and dice -> ss till mob is near death -> evis

is a simple attack chain for fast grinding

Thanks for the info :) I guess maybe I thought a bit too much about it, lol. I just want to get into good habits, you know?

good to hear, but a poper 10 second fight chain is much different then a 25 second fight then is a 3 minute fight

id only worry about your rotation on boss fights... they are the only ones long enough to matter

which (for you since your swords, and you should have 3/3 imp slice and dice) is: garrote -> ss -> 2 pt slice and dice -> ss up to 5 points -> 5 pt rupture -> ss x2 -> slice and dice etc.

simple loop, change out rupture if the mob is bleed immune
