I am still fairly new to WoW, coming off of FFXI. In FFXI there was a lot of eq swaps that were done to maximize potential for certain things.

I have a lvl 41 druid that it would seem to help if i macroed in healing gear for casting form or str and agi for cat it would help me out alot. So my question is do WoW's players use eq swaps or is it not worth the space in bags?

You can't swap equipment in combat other than your Main-Hand, Off-Hand, and Relic slot. That said people do carry multiple sets of gear depending on what they are going to be doing. Overall. I don't think I would recommend macros for gear swapping and instead get an AddOn like ItemRack, Outfitter, Wardrobe2, or ClosetGnome to help you swap.

Equipment swaps are CRITICAL for druids, and carrying multiple sets of gear is absolutely worth the bag space.

At your level no matter what spec you are you should absolutely carry a feral/melee set with agility, strength, and stamina, and another casting/healing set with intellect. When you hit late 50s and especially Outlands, you'll find gear with +healing and +spell damage, too, which is great for casting/healing set. If you're feral you'll also see gear that's differntiated enough to merit carrying THREE sets: casting/healing, dps for cat form (strength and agility) and tanking for bear form (armor, stamina).

I personally recommend that people focus on building up whatever supports your spec, but still look for AH bargains on off-spec gear. You'll collect some greens along the way that support your off-spec needs, too. Rolling "need" in instances on off-spec gear is dependent on the group and situation, some groups won't mind others will.

Macros shmacros, though. Get one of the two popular addons Outfitter of ItemRack. They can both automatically swap your gear when you shift forms.

I can't seem to get Outfitter to work.

First I downloaded from here:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4784/

I saw the Download button and jumped to it without reading. After not working I read... and realized this piece of work was taken over by someone else and a new link was provided:
http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/7446/

So I tried this one, still doesn't work. I've gotten "DamageMeter" to work without so much as a single problem.

Yes, I copied over the right folder. No, I didn't copy over the folder while it was still within another folder after extracting.

At the character select screen, clicking addons it doesn't even show up for me out of date or otherwise.... it's simply not there.

What is OutfitterTitan? If it's a part of the main piece of work why is there no documentation specifically stating so? More seriously, why is there no seeming documentation of it at all?

***** it, just download and use ItemRack instead. Supposedly the same functionality, and lotsa folks say it's better anyway.

I think AddOns can be like chicks sometimes, you gotta let 'em know they're not the only game in town. (just kidding, ladies, of course...) I was having problems with KTMThreat until I went and downloaded Omen...voila...All the sudden KTM works fine and I'm set to monitor threat in most any party.
