This is a vent thread for the bane of all rogues!

You all know what it is: you move slower and someone runs away from you, although the person running can continually damage you. The ways this can happen are MANY, with a few included:

-Getting your biceps femoris smashed into pieces.
-Getting yelled at really loudly.
-Getting caught in the middle of a frozen piece of ground activated by your local BG idiot that runs right into it.
-Getting Shot in the head.
-Getting Frozen by a Mage.
-Getting Frozen by a Mage's Elemental.
-Getting Frozen by hitting a Mage.
-Getting Frozen by the Mage cause you were hitting the elemental.
-Getting Rooted by a Druid.
-Getting Feared/Dot/Run Away by a lock.
-Getting just plainly feared.
-Getting Cursed to be slow

Or my personal favorite:

-Guy running in the opposite direction and just keeps running.

It just aggravates me to no end. Pre-BC, the thing that made me go "woo!" was getting some bad *** mutilate hit off on some poor 60, or stunlocking someone down from 100-0. Post-BC, I'd have to say my favorite feeling of all time is getting Blessed with Freedom.

To sum up the post:

I cannot WAIT for Fleet Footed to have its movement speed increased AS LONG AS Blizzard doesn't introduce a new recipe that also does the same thing.

You have so many ways to get out of a kite...

You really shouldn't be getting kited that hard.

Er?

We're extremely vulnerable to kiting. All our tricks to get out of snares/roots are on much longer cooldown then the ability that get us in snares roots.

And 15% fleet footed isn't going to do much. You aren't catching anything when walking at 58% speed. It will prevent people just 'walking the other way' of course, but that's it.

Basically it ends up with us being extremely vulnerable to what we do best (not literally).

Rogues blindside our opponents and then kick the **** out of them while they're down. I'd hate to see what other classes post about a CS>BS>SS>Gouge>KS>BS>Vanish repeat type combo. Hell, thats worse than being kited.

The fleet footed change will be very nice for two reasons.

1. Boot slot is open for Surefooted.
2. People will never be just out of reach for long. Unless you're snared, you're going to catch them.

What exactly is the change to Fleet Footed? Better yet, why isn't this skill in the Subtlety tree, QQ Blizzard doesn't make sense.

15% speed increase instead of 8%.

I'm looking forward to it, to say the least.

Its a name I've been using for years. I did a lot of Starcraft hacking and such under the name (yeah, I'm an *******). I was a staff member at BWHacks for a long *** time under that name as well. Hell, I'm probably still a mod, I just haven't logged into the site in like 3 years.

First I was Lord Ginsu, King of all Sushi Chefs.
Then I was Fish Beans, which simply doesn't make sense.
Finally I was simply Ginsu, and now Fish Beans again.

Frost mages can be frustrating with the kiting issue. They have so many roots and snares it isn't funny. I'm not too experienced with them(Tyr?) but doesn't their elemental get 2 frost novas in addition to their own, not to mention all their other slows, frostbite etc. Even if we use all of our slows and snare breakers(CloS, Imp Sprint, Vanish) they'll have more!

BM hunters can also do a good job of it with Beastial Wrath & Intimidation to get away from you and keep you away while they're pet brings you down. Since they can't be stunned or slowed, a losing battle is often(for me).

I was doing some 2v2 last night w/ a priest guildie of mine, when we ran into a hunter/pally combo. Now, if the pally was as good as the hunter, we probably would of lost.

We were in Nagrand Arena, came out on the pally, made him blow his bubble early, priest dispelled. Bam...dead pally.

Then we continued to fight(or be kited by) this damn hunter for at least 3 minutes(I know this b/c Cold Blood came back up). Seriously, he must've had track hidden on, and would throw a frost aura trap down, and run back around the pillar, toss a flare, run back around, drop another trap. I don't think I've ever ran into a hunter that good before.

So I had to go kill his pet, so my healer didn't go oom from healing himself, and he ended up baiting him out, so I could land my opener....and from there, it was downhill quick for him.

I just don't like how CloS or Imp Sprint doesn't make you immune to the frost aura.

    Indeed.

I hate getting slowed, stunned, feared, sheeped all the time, with my Sprint/Trinket/Vanish on a 5 min CD, and STILL hear all the other classes complaining about those overpowered rogues. :)
