Timeless Ammo is out of the question for now. But it seems like Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle is more dps than Sunfury if you use Adamantite Shells 43dps vs 37dps Warden's. At least what my tool tip tells me. So is it good idea to experiment and what are peoples opinions on this? I had Sunfury and recently got Wolfslayer, no one wanted in raid group and I snatched it as a "toy".
Something that concerns me though Wolfsalyer is 2.70 speed and I am a BM hunter with improved hawk.
your opinions?
As for money, it isn't really a concern. I got plenty.
Both have Khorium Scope. Crit scope is less dps unless you are really decked out in end game gear imo.

Then I thought more about, while there is 2 dps advantage in rifles favor, but Sunfury is more forgiving to rotations and does more base dmg which leads to bigger crits further augmented by Mortal Shots talent. So probably using gun is less dps if not equal with more headache and a price tag ;p?

I am off to work now, so I dont have time to look it up (I linked to it in another
post tho), but Cheeky's spreadsheet has options for plugging in a whole set of
gear, gems, talents and enchants and a shot rotation..
Try the two up against each other in there.
For my own case (surv/marks build) I found my dps would increase if I switched
emberfury xbow with telescopic sharprifle which is iirc the same dps.
