My Main is a lvl 63 BE warlock (demon spec) which I obviously enjoy playing. To add a little spice to my gaming, I rolled a Human mage and have cruised to lvl 23 with a fire spec, and usually with a group. i want to start solo'ing to gain more xp and hopefully lvl faster. Whats the best way to approach mobs with this class when on my own? any tips or trick suggestions are welcomed.
AoE grinding is the quickest with a mage. They have a list of good grinding spots on here check that out. I think frost mages have an easier time but thats just my opinion. If you do frost check this video out. http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=44168

you can do very well with single mob attacking. Just get at max range, pyro-fireball-fireblast-rank 1 frost nova-step back a bit and fireball once more (with a fireblast if needed again). Then move onto your next victim. Once you get higher, your crit starts to come into play more and the mob won't even make it to you before it is dead.
I'm 60, i made the leap to outland at 57, and even here, things die before they reach me if i get one crit off (Almost always, i have 29% crit chance).
I would definitly suggest respecing frost when you get at a higher lvl (around 40-50). Water elementals are really nice to have when your soloing mobs.
