I lurk here quite a lot. I'm not a frequent poster even though i have been apart of alla for years.

Many times i see people post an armory link and a brief description of their issues and then proceed to get ripped a new one from the regulars here. Every time i see this i think "Why not me? I want to get in on some of this action!"

So, with that being said... here is my armory page...

Now! Before you guys have at it I want to point out a few things:

1)My spec. I know i ****** up and missed imp sprint. Don't even ask how it happened. There are a few other issues with the spec, feel free to point them out

2)My goddamn offhand weapon (and having blue weapons in general)

3)Enchants on my gear. I know i half assed these, but i did all my enchants myself and with my current limited playtime i don't have the funds to pay for the big ones (this is soon to be corrected)

4)Those damn under leveled profs. Trust me, I'm not so lazy that I would stop leveling a prof on my trek to 70. I ditched enchanting about one week ago and have only gotten this far with engineering. (this is also soon to be corrected)

I think that's all the defense I want to put up about my character. So, if all you regulars out there feel like you need another rogue to rip apart i am your man.

(I am aware of the very sarcastic overtone in my post, I do not mean to be condescending to the wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable posters on this forum, I am only trying to be light-hearted in taking criticism about my character)

Aww, it's not as much fun if you're expecting it. The true noobs who really do think they're using an awesome build with awesome gear are the best. They ask for criticism, then get pissed when you do exactly that. They really just want to hear "You're doing great, keep up the good work."

So, let's see what recommendations I can make.

You're obviously combat sword specced, but from your weapons I'd say you're probably not too worried about which weapon spec you pick. Since you're Scryers, and nearly exalted, I'll go ahead and recommend the Riftmaker/Retainer's Blade combo. You're a long way off the Riftmaker, but if you're not expecting to hit Kara anytime soon, it's the best MH Dagger you'll find. Arena weapons are another nice alternative, and will be about the same time frame, but with much less time invested overall.

Your crit chance is extremely good for a sword build. About 5% higher than mine wearing full epics. You AP, however, is seriously hurting, along with your +hit. For PvP, I'd ignore any more +hit, since you have Precision, but more AP is certainly worthwhile. With resilience in play, Attack Power scales your damage much, much more than any other stat.

Health looks good for PvP, a bit high for PvE, so you could drop quite a bit for a PvE set.

Your meta gem is the only seriously lacking thing I see. That's probably the second worst meta there is (second only to the watered down spirit shard version). I'm guessing you picked it up because it was cheap and has easy requirements, which is understandable, especially on a piece of gear relatively high on the list of stuff to upgrade. I'd pick up a PvP helmet and slap 18 Stam/5% stun resist in it.

An easy ring upgrade would be the one from spirit shards. Very nice for PvP, and you can get it easy by offering to help lowbies run early Auchindoun instances, or by farming one for gear you want.

I should add:

I play on an RP/PvP server and that's what i do. I RP and I PvP. Raids and instances are not my 'forte' nor do i have anything more than a mild curiosity about them.

to Nooble:

First of all, thanks for the advice. I just have one question. Why is my meta gem so terrible? I need AP and the speed boost keeps me from having to either re-spec back to mutilate (with dual ceds >_<) or putting speed on my boots. Is it just one of those "thats a good item if there was nothing else to put there but that item FAILS in comparison to other options" situations?

Also, yes i am combat swords, but i did put some thought into which weapon spec i chose. i am a former mutilate rogue but i found that due to my less-than-average PC, positional based PvP is very difficult when even minor lag happens (also seeing "your mutilate was parried by so-and-so is damn annoying at best). So, when i went into combat it was either pick up the ugly clunky honor mace or get the more aesthetically pleasing sword. My weapons are going to be my main focus when upgrading next. Should I switch to mace spec and aim for arena weapons? I really want to stray from daggers for a while.

What would be the best way for me to boost my AP? I was recently discussing with my arena partner that since we have such a low rating we could probably get away with taking a hit in our survivability and wearing dungeon blues to increase our damage output, but i hate the idea of parting with my resilience (and all the crit that seems to come with it) would this be viable? We have a running joke about PvP "upgrades" siphoning our AP. (when i first leveled to 70 my AP was over 1350, after PvPing i have lost nearly 200 points)
