I am leveling my alt warrior (he may just become my main, actually!) and at level 36 decided to try dual wielding. I picked up the hypnotic blade (1.4 speed, 26.8 dps, 8 Int, 3 Spi) from SM and hate to let it go to waste, but could not find another good dagger on the AH. So I picked up a 1h sword, the Nobles Brand of Strength (2.1 speed, 22.1 dps, 7 Str).
The hypnotic blade is a main hand dagger, so the sword is off-hand. So, my question is, if you saw me standing outside the bank in IF, would you think "look at this noob using a dagger AND a sword"?
1) at 36 you should still be using a 2h, but if you must insist...
2) definitely mainhand a slower wep with bigger max damage, to take advantage of instant attacks
3) the stats on the dagger do nothing for you. when i'm in my dw fury spec (17/44), i mainhand the planar edge and offhand the guile of khoraazi (+ to agility and AP). i also recently enchanted the dagger with potency (20 str). otherwise, no, there isn't anything wrong with dual wielding a sword (in mainhand) and a dagger (in offhand). the offhand wep should be sub 2.0 attack speed to increase rage generation, chance of crits, etc.
