Since yesterday my DoTimer doesnt work. I downloaded 2 days old update but nothing changed, it simply doesnt show anything anymore.
I used it on my lock and on my hunter and I loved it.
I have OmniCC and Necb for aside help but I really feel lost without DoTimer, I relied on it so much :(

Can someone help with advice on something alike please?

Well the problem is actually in seduction and that is why I used DoTimer. I have Necrosis but I havent used it for long, just because of that. And Dot had such nice little icons that didnt make mess on my screen :(

Besides I had very visible CDs with it, could say when the Cleave is up or Arcane Shot or anything else so clearly. With OmniCC I have to put my nose into my screen >.<
Necro doesnt help my hunter either... I dont like KHT so much.

Silly question, did you enable old addons after patching to 2.2.2?

Working alternatives:
- Class timers
- Sorren's Timers

Both are wowace and can be found at files.wowace.com.

I use Hourglass I think. It's part of the Mazzle package. I've been meaning to switch it out for DoTimer, just hadn't got around to it yet. I'd actually highly recommend the entire mazzle package to you. It's great. Has pretty much every add-on you'll ever need built in and you can configure them all from a menu. It's still a little buggy after the patch supposedly, but I have not had any problems after applying the patch the community put together. You can get it at wowinterface.com. Do yourself a favor and at least try it out for a day or 2.

Enabled, disabled, loaded out of date, downloaded few alternatives I didnt like... all that 5-6 times... sigh.
I totally forgot Ace for some reason >.<

Lathais, I had Mazzle in my "reserve addons for trying some day" folder for some time now. I just liked to compile my UI from several (well more than several) addons I really liked and, lets say, make it just the way I want it to be. I am very picky about single dot on my screen not being just where I want it to be.
But right now I think I will give Mazzle a try :)

Thanks a lot, both :)

ClassTimer or Dotdotdot uses a superior way of tracking DoT's compared to others, at least last I checked - they actually track the DoT itself, rather than just the time of casting with lag + the duration. The others can get messed up if the mob dies, the spell resists, it gets pushed off (in 25-mans), you use /stopcasting macros, or if something refreshes (ISB, etc). However, they can only track your own debuffs, because of the way the system works.

I didnt go to kindergarten.

And if I thought my computer resources shouldnt be wasted I would deinstall WoW first.

If anything is useless here its your comment.

Im using bongos2 and nature enemy cast bar mod.
I did love dottimer more :( but NECB is okay replacment I guess.

I gotta say that bongos (aside for mazzle which is too complicated for me :D ) is something BEAUTIFUL ,I just cant use it in instances because ... i cant see loot ,no greed/need window ...dooooooh

Some time ago I used Antagonist, and thought it worked pretty good. I didn't have my succy then though, so I don't know if it works with seduction. I Use Mazzle now, but since I started using Mazzle I haven't had my succy out at all, so I don't know much about seduction there either.

Edit: When I did use my succy (around level 30s-40s) I was using Necrosis for keeping track of dots. And I did notice the lack of having seduce in my dotlist. I still use Necrosis a little, mostly to have a good overview on SS when in groups, and for the kick-*** sound effects ^^

Sethy,

Just curious if you tried out Mazzle and how you like it? Personally when i first used it I didn't like it, but used it for a little while anyway and after getting used to it and tweaking all the add-ons to how I like them I can't live without it. Only thing I really didn't like was the auto-setup of the action bars. Taking the time to adjust bongos to work the way I wanted it was a little bit of a pain in the ***, but once I got it there it was great.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.(Sorry Sethy)

The question is, does anyone else have the same problem?? I didn't get a chance to get on WoW this w/e so I have no idea if mine would be working or not.

that way you don't waste computer resources on useless mod.

Yup, because I can very easily keep track of 4 DoT's down to the tenth of a second in my head >.> DoT timers are far from useless, and besides /stopcasting macros, are one of the biggest and easiest ways of boosting your damage on raid bosses.

I'd still highly suggest ClassTimer. I have mine set up right next to my casting bar, so it's easy to see while I'm doing Quartz with /stopcasting macros. It tracks any procs I get, my DoT's/debuffs on the target, trinket pops, and destruction potions the way I've got it configured. Really nice for noticing those short-duration procs.

I am still currently using DoTimer and have had absolutely no problems with it, so it may not be the addon. Either that or I have been lucky. I cannot look up which version I am using at the moment as I am currently typing this from work, but it's definitely one of the newer versions that came out after the patch.

Does the Necrosis still work? wow.Curse says it hasn't been updated in 8 months. I also checked the necrosis homepage (website taken from curse) and it confirms that the latest update was made in January 2007.

Am I missing something or should I just ignore the "out-of-date" message?

It still works. It hasn't broken with any patches, so that it's 8 months old doesn't mean anything.
Iirc, there's an "updated" wowace version called Necronomicon, though I believe the layout is a bit different.
