I just lost Talon of Azshara to the worst rogue in my guild.

Granted he's a raider and I'm not, but I still outgear him, and if I did get Talon I would have started raiding, just because I got Talon.

I regularly lost gear to hunters /comfort, mainly due to the fact that they were horrible and I guess the guild leader thought he could compensate for that by gearing them out, instead of the good players who would get more use out of it?
I think the saddest part is that with malchazeen, specced combat daggers, with WF while I was getting none, he did only 2% more damage than I did with mut.

I'm a casual in my guild with my gear.
1593 AP, 254 hit, 26% crit, for the record.
Not that I couldn't be a raider, but I like PvP too much to be a raider.
Oh and to add insult to injury, he just got Blood Sea Brigand's Vest.

For the gear / progression you guys are at his hit rating is pathetic. That alone can make up for the dps difference.

Wow. That sucks. Hard. Oh well a bit back you got **** in Gruuls. But then again probably no one else needed it if your guild is such high caliber.
Yeah I remember his last thread when he got the stuff in Gruul's. My guild just can't get the healers to commit. They will log right before the raid so they can go play halo with their boyfriends or suddenly get sick after two wipes.

Bah, I prefer games like WoW where I can put in obsene amount of hours and get gear to compensate for my lack of skill. Then I can make fun of people with real lives because they have solid greens and are no match for my epics. j/k really just never got into shooters. RL friend that would link our xbox and 1v7 kinda ruined it for me.
He should be hit capped in SSC, right?
Do rogues have trash gear which they switch out for boss (308 hit) gear, or is that a waste of time / energy.

I doubt anyone would swap out trash gear to gain some hit since you would hurt too many of your other PvE stats. If you are a raider, gem for the hit rating and its easy to get it up. You can hit cap with kara gear if you gem right.
Hit capped or close to it and thats a pretty god awful raider for SSC, I can probably do better with Heroic blues than he is. You guys can't fit another 'lock or another DPS class in place of him?

Really? T4 pieces alone with a couple hit rating sockets bump you in the deep, deep 200's. You can still maintain your AP/crit with sockets.

We usually can and do, but tonight we were short on raiders, unfortunately.
In better news, my newly formed 3v3 team got to 1603 in 10 games with a blue and green-geared MS warrior in 5 of the games and me in the other 5 with a paladin and a lock. I went 5-0.
We're thinking that we can probably get to 1650-1700 without having to get me and the warrior better gear.
And I dueled the rogue that got the talon and beat him two times in a row. Bwahaha.

GJ. I ditched my friends guild and joined a kara/gruuls/ssc (progressing) guild. I'll get malch and ER very soon, since the rogues there only want netherspite. Mut, here I come :D
His gear is fine... I don't see the problem? Everyone in this thread thinks he's a bad raider because he isn't hit capped? He may indeed be bad, but his gear is certainly no indication of that... his gear is fine. Hit isn't the only DPS stat... and he certainly may have just not gotten a few key items that would drastically up his hit... there are a few that I can think of which would be upgrades (boots and a ring specifically).
